Re: Got drawn for Whitetail, need to buy a deer rifle. Model & caliber suggestions?

I have taken Coues with several calibers through the years... 2 with a 30-30,
1 with a 25-06, 1 with a 30-06, 1 with a 308, 2 with a 270.
Obviously, there are a lot of good calibers and bullet selection is probably more important.
BUT, I will pick the 270 as my favorite.

Re: Panic Buying Over Yet?

Man gtfo here with that. It's social conditioning to accept the "new normal". Hard pass. The only time I will wear a mask is if it is a private business and I need something from them that i cant get anywhere else. Most of these businesses it seems are trying to outdo one another on the m...

Re: Arex Delta

I've put about 250 rounds through it so far... so not a lot, but enough to get a good feel for it. Runs flawlessly, as it should. Very accurate, and that is across 4-5 different loads. With Federal 147 JHP, it is crazy accurate from the rest. The trigger is definitely different, and while "Gloc...

Arex Delta

I picked one up a few weeks ago, before panic buy #2 started with the riot crap. $369 plus tax and must say that it is a phenomenal bargain. When I first saw it, the squared profile and more "space age" look didn't do anything for me, but once I fondled it I just had to have it. Between th...

Re: California Ammunition Raids Put Innocent People at Risk of Police Violence

Symington use to say we needed to worry about the "western border" more than the southern border.... and he was a developer, yet recognized the damage they would do to our state culture as greatly outweighing any money they brought in. Back in those days the "Welcome to AZ... now go h...

Re: Who carries a 1911?

In winter months when a jacket or flannel shirt is necessary I can pull off carrying one of my 1911's...... in the summer, as the temps go up and clothing becomes minimal, the gun size goes down!

Re: Why are all safes coming with the electronic keypads?

I had a Liberty that had the S&G combo dial, which could be "day locked" with key locking the dial. Awsome set-up that seemed pretty reliable. Unfortunately I sold it when we moved across state, not wanting to add moving it into the mix. Now I have another Liberty with the S&G elec...

Re: Night Shooting

I asked a BLM officer about it a few years ago... he said it was good to go as long as you are being safe and not disturbing anyone. I go as far from people as possible at ANY time I'm shooting, so that is easy to comply with. I want nothing to do with people I don't know shooting near me anytime, d...

Re: Panic Buying Over Yet?

I was on vacation the last few weeks, and it involved a few trips around the state. After going in stores everywhere I stopped, I can say this is by far the worse I've ever seen the panic buying.... and I'm talking going back to 94' and the Crime Bill/AWB time frame. With the election coming up, I w...

Re: Turn out needed for Public Meeting for proposed BLM Shooting site

I dealt with the fed's on the Tucson Basin Shooting Ban that was proposed about 15 years ago. They held a public meeting at the Doubletree Inn in Tucson, and expected about 100 people to rant and rave, then they could wave their magic wand and do what they want. What they got was over 1000 people......

Re: Fire Restrictions

On one pre-monsoon, heat of the summer day several years ago I went to a dry cattletank that I had shot at for years to try out a new to me Big 5 special M48 Mauser. Using some Turkish milsurp (which I believe had a mild steel core), I saw a spark that suddenly/somehow had a small bush going that wa...

Re: Which caliber do you prefer? Why?

I'm the one-and-only 357 vote. It's not my "carry" caliber.... but is my favorite/preferred caliber for everything else. It is so easy coming up with super accurate loads that can go from mild to wild. I love reloading it, shooting it in very concentrated bench resting, & reaching out ...

Re: Sig P365 - Hypeworthy?

I'm going to hold on before jumping in to see some "higher" round count reports... plus that will allow for them to hit the shelves in quantities that prices normalize.
I've survived this long without one in a carry line-up... I'll bet I can make it a bit longer.
