Re: Stuff you've melted to your suppressor (and how to get it off?)

I melted part of a tabletop onto one of mine. That sort of thing is inevitable if you use them a lot. It mostly cooked off over a couple more range trips. I figure it will happen, why worry about it?
Want it to stay pretty? Don't use it...

Kel-Tec makes a PLR-22, and Black Dog makes a 50 round drum:

Re: Semi-auto 22LR pistol

As far as a higher capacity, you aren't going to find many pistols that hold more than 10 rounds. I had a S&W M&P22 a while back, and I think it held 12 rounds. Not sure why someone hasn't made a higher capacity pistol....something that holds 20 or so rounds...I'm sure something is out ther...

Re: SBR worth the $200 and hassle?

It's worth it to me. Every AR I have in use is a registered SBR. That way, I don't have to worry about what upper goes on what gun (since with a "pistol" lower, you can't put a forward grip on the upper). I'm also mindful of the possibility that eventually, some dingleberry will do somethi...

Re: 22 rimfire suppressors

How difficult are the aluminum baffled units to clean? Is there a chemical that will help dissolve the lead, but not damage the aluminum? As far as I know, there's no chemical way to remove lead fouling from aluminum baffles. It's manual labor with brushes and picks. Even ultrasonic is not recommen...

Yes, mainly to keep track of any repetitive issues. They do happen, even with Glock mags  ...the last one I removed for issues was a Glock 33 rounder.

Re: 22 rimfire suppressors

I have a Sparrow, a Dead Air Mask, and two Element IIs (and one more Element II in NFA jail). The sparrow has a noticeable first round pop on handguns. The Mask is not nearly as noticeable and the Element is pretty much first round pop free, in addition to weighing only 4.1 ounces. If you're only go...

That was very helpful Muzap... thanks Do you have any thoughts on two of my Russian samples? 1. 124 JHP, 3-94 (Ulyanovsk) head-stamp, w/25.5gr Ball powder. Came in a white box purple strips ... The boat-tailed bullet does have a steel core and is of similar length & profile to other steel core ...

Re: SBR Qs

The Thompson case eliminated that for SBRs only if the possessor has a possible legal configuration for the firearm. It's important to note that the Contender kit in question contained all the parts necessary for assembly both into a pistol, and into a non-NFA rifle configuration. It had a possible ...

Re: SBR Qs

The term you're looking for is actually "constructive possession." And it's a real thing. Individuals have been arrested and prosecuted for it. Just google the term and you'll find references.
