Re: Yes, sometimes s*** does happen...

If any of you guys think John Corriea of ASP is worth a s***, get his real history, I think you might be shocked at just how inept this guy is. Have a great, gun carryin', Kenpo day Clyde Lol! There was a time that many here thought old John Correia was the last Coke in the desert. Glad to see y'al...

Re: How point shooting became a thing

Maybe this is worthy of a thread of it's own... But, what is the grip/stance most use? I got kinda roasted by an instructor in a pistol class for not using Weaver's.. This is extremely hard to explain w/o showing you due to proprioception and kinesthesia. I use an isosceles with my strong-side foot...

Re: What's wrong with grip safeties ?

What Clyde and I'll add that my grip is so high on the tang that I tend to push the beaver tail safeties upwards and sometimes the safety. I rarely carry 1911 (in 9mm) for that reason. Love the platform, they're elegant weapons and great for teaching basics, but not for my carry.

Re: PREVAIL Concealed Carry Test

Aaaand yet another "gate keeper" *ahem* PREVAIL Concealed Carry Course Test Day on the books. Everyone did a great job and even managed to learn a thing or two. Some old dogs learned new tricks and made new friends. Some tasted victory, others, have to go back and train some more. All-in-a...

Re: PREVAIL Concealed Carry Test

To be frank, that's a lot of money for what is essentially a pistol qual. I could sign up for 5-6 local matches or a major for that money. I'm sure it's a fine test, but that's a tough sell. You'd be surprised how it fills up and if time permits, we warm up prior to. The test is the culmination of ...

Re: PREVAIL Concealed Carry Test

What's the test? I can't give out the course of fire unless you sign up, but you can see it on my YouTube channel. This is to maintain the integrity of the program. PREVAIL has been adopted by several USCCA instructors as a guideline for Defensive Pistol training. To be frank, that's a lot of money...

Re: PREVAIL Concealed Carry Test

To give a bit of background, the PREVAIL Test is not an easy challenge, but it tests every aspect of your basics in a tiered "rank" system from white, tan, grey, green, brown and black. So far, I'm the first and only one in the nation who's made it to "Black Level". I will be the...

Re: PREVAIL Concealed Carry Test

Does it cost money? Does it matter? None of you would show up even if it was free. While I applaud his effort to train folks, he knows this place is full of slackers and FUDDs who own guns, but can't spend the time or money to be really good with them. I've offered a few things, self defense, firea...

PREVAIL Concealed Carry Test

Guys, April 5th from 8a to 12p at Ben Avery Shooting Range my friend and mentor Bob Schneider will be holding the PREVAIL Concealed Carry Test for whoever is interested. This is your chance to test yourself and see where your skillset ranks as a defensive shooter. Achieving ANY level puts you in the...

Re: Police and other fed agencies are still civilians.

So, you have no rebuttal and you post a meme, how quaint. I expected as much, no logic, no reason, just emotional bias, like a friggin' democRAT, same play. Does it look like bait? No, not to anyone with any damn sense in their head. If you took it that way, then I suggest some therapy to get your ...

Re: FROM THE SIG FORUM

I've been in LE for 30 years, 28 as an instructor. My numbers are conservative at best and based on my own experience. Guarantee you if you made quals a choice for officers/agents, you'd never see 70% of them ever again. If your experience is different, whoopty-freakin-doo. I train people for a liv...
