Re: To be digital or to not be digital- safe edition
I visited a top-notch locksmith, and the same subject came up: repair calls 10:1 for electronic versus mechanical. I chose poorly. Doesn’t mean anything. If there are 10 digital safes for every mechanical then the repair calls are statistically equal. You’d also need to factor in the quality of the...

Re: In ultra-liberal Boston, where gun rights are nearly extinct, blacks are pushing back and demanding their rights
California gun laws, supported by the NRA, started when Ronald Regan signed into law restrictions aimed directly at Blacks. The open carry practice of community patrols called Copwatching and into the State Capital by the Black Panthers was all it took to scare white voters into giving up their own ...

Re: Bear Creek's Glock clone...nope
Never owned, but I've certainly fixed dozens. s*** chambers, tons of chatter. Always close on NOGO and FIELD gauges. Misaligned and undersized gas ports. Non-square shoulders and threads. Barrel extensions non-concentric and index pins not in line with gas port. They are junk. All of that is terrib...

Re: FBI finds Hunter Biden's gun rug contaminated with boogar sugar
Serious question for you legal eagles. Is residue of an illegal substance found on something you own an offense? Is that enough evidence to get a conviction?

Re: Need help with Sun Devil SD308
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. Specifically 13 years ago.. Sun Devil MFG has begun production of DPMS pattern 308 AR receivers. Here is a quote directly from Sun Devil MFG We are machining the .308 lowers now. We should have the uppers ready to machine in 60 to 90 days. The MSR...

Re: Looking for an AR-10 gunsmith
I’ve been driving out to Black Metal Firearms. I’ve brought a couple of things down there and they looked it over, recommended some parts to fix it and boom done free. I’ve gone ahead and just bought my parts there and installed them at home. They will install parts purchased there for free. I had t...

Re: Nationwide Alert test for Wed. a.m.
Sounds more like the modern version of Operation Alert from 1954! No need to panic. In 1954, the United States Federal Civil Defense Agency instituted an exercise called Operation Alert. It was a civil defense drill that took place on the same day in scores of major cities. Citizens in what were cal...

In a “they win it all” scenario the things I worry about the most don’t include ammo and guns.

3rd house to blow up in the area. I’ll guess non-spec gas line material or installation.

Re: Answering your front door
Like how everyone thinks a 911 operator will answer immediately. All kinds of reports online about calls going to voice mail. Phoenix was short 55 positions. They are no where near the national response threshold.

I start with new batteries. If that’s not it I’d contact Cannon about the lifetime parts warranty.

Re: Local source for little AR parts?
I’d give Black Metal firearms a call. They build AR10s so they must have spare parts.
