Trying to find parts for an old shotgun
Hello all,
I’ve been on the hunt for an escutcheon for the forend of an old Savage 440A, but have had no luck for the past few months. The original ended up somewhere in a dove field a few years ago. When looking for parts for old guns, where do you usually check?
Thanks for the help!

Re: Budget AR build
Absolutely, no argument here haha I have two PSA builds that have both been awesome. That LaRue MBT trigger is fantastic for the money, though. I would take it every day over my PSA EPTs. I have a PSA M4 CHF upper that's been awesome too, but what I saw and then fixed, was absolutely atrocious and s...

Thanks!! It’s my first time up there, but I have a good source of knowledge in my father-in-law, who’s been up there a lot since he killed his first Kaibab deer in 1973.

Re: Looking for direction on an AR pistol build
And regarding 5.56, every short-barreled 5.56 I’ve had is extremely loud and has a super bright muzzle flash. Very fun outside, but not super fun at an indoor range, even with ear protection. I can’t imagine how concussive they would be in a hallway with no ear pro.

9mm is hard to beat for ammo cost though, if you plan on training with it frequently.

Re: Looking for direction on an AR pistol build
I love my 300 BLK, and with a 10.5” barrel it’s surprisingly quiet, especially with subsonics. It’s super versatile. If you’re worried about over penetration, you can keep some 200+ grain subsonics in it for HD and have the capability of generating a lot more downrange energy with lighter supersonic...

Re: Any fisherman out there?
My family used to hit Bartlett/Roosevelt for crappie a couple times a month, but the fishing has been horrible for the past few years. We tried Patagonia Lake over Memorial Day weekend though, and caught more crappie from our kayaks than we have from the Salt River lakes in years. It’s a drive thoug...
