^^^
As I wrote, Allen-head screws are my backup plan if I can't find the OEM slot-head screws.

Grip screws for ParaOrdnance P14

Lost a grip screw at the range yesterday. P14GripScrews.jpg ParaOrd is out of business. Cannot find OEM grip screws in the usual places: Brownells, Sarco, Numrich, etc. I see some Allen-head screws on Amazon, Ebay, and elsewhere, but not the OEM slot-head screws. Those hex screws are my backup plan,...

Re: Manually cycling rounds through 1911- ok?

1 - You won't damage the extractor or ejector if you cycle from the magazine into the chamber. If you lock the slide back, load a round into the chamber manually, then drop the slide, that could damage a 1911 extractor, by bending it outwards -- but you'd probably have to do it a lot to make the ext...

Re: US v. RAHIMI being heard today in SCOTUS

In case you haven't been following, US v. RAHIMI is a case out of the 5th Circuit involving a guy prosecuted for possessing a weapon despite being under a restraining order over domestic violence. The 5th Circuit vacated his conviction in accordance with the Bruen decision. And thus, this case COUL...

One muzzle flash and the BPF is down. Then five more muzzle flashes for good luck.
Gives new meaning to "smoke 'em if you got 'em."

Re: Karate expert beats up Brown Bears

Sorry. I forgot you kids today , don't believe anything you can't watch on video. Or old-school journalism: witnesses, preferably two or more, preferably disinterested. Did I ever tell you about the time I killed a mountain lion with a Swiss Army knife? I used the corkscrew attachment. It happened ...

Re: Videos of engagements

Although the Videos of Engagement thread is in the CCW section, I notice many of the videos do not involve people using their concealed weapons, but rather police shooting incidents. So be it; we can still learn by watching how quickly situations can go south. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhdfQjr...

From John Lott: Guy stopped at traffic light. BPF gets out of car in front and approaches with gun in hand. Our hero draws his own gun. BPF retreats, while shooting through windshield. At least one shot connects with our hero. https://crimeresearch.org/2024/04/philadelphia-wild-dash-camera-video-sho...

How point shooting became a thing

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1RI-JwH0rh0 Rather than say Jelly Bryce and the FBI set back the evolution of pistolcraft, I propose that they advanced it, by adding the element of speed, not to mention the idea that maybe people should actually practice. Prior to that, what little training there wa...
