Re: Sportsman's Warehouse
They were having great deals and coupons valid on firearms when they were in talks to get bought by Bass Pro. I suspect they wanted to juice revenues going into the deal. When that got shot down by the justice department, deals and coupons evaporated. Honestly they are convenient and the clothes and...

Kind of marginal compared to years past. Found a deal on a couple items that comped my admission but that was it. Got a ton of stuff last year so I guess it all evens out.

Re: Stolen guns sold via big box stores?
Every FFL I have sold or traded in a gun over the last 20 years around Phoenix, pretty sure they had to run the numbers on it. No idea about other places. I do remember reading a story about a gun writer who bought a used rifle through an FFL. Later pawned and when he picked it up, it was flagged as...

Re: Rio Salado Swap Meet 19 November 2022
Ugh, I used to love going to Rio but the more crowded it got, the dumber the mgmt became. Going there now just gives me incentive to give up all my guns and become a peace loving Buddhist or something.

Re: The Hub bought Guns Etc.
Yeah they bought out Merchant in Ahwatukee, prices meh at best. But inventory is up 4x by dollar value, no idea how they can stay in business with all that inventory. I doubt the sale of $3k plus guns is skyrocketing right now.

I was there when that came out. Ah Glocktalk, that used to be the place to be. Had a bunch of AZ folk on the classifieds too and got several deals there.

Re: phx shows - crossroads any good
Pretty meh show. Got 3 P225 mags for $60, that was my big score. So few private sellers walking around anymore. Not sure I will bother with any more ice house shows. At least for the bigger shows that are partially outdoors, you can buy an overpriced beer and burrito and people watch. That at least ...

Looks like Mr Silencer has had its FFL revoked.

Re: Changing AR15 Purchase Age to 21
As someone mentioned, why no outrage for handguns being legal at age 21? You gotta pick a year unless you think 13 year olds buying handguns without an adult present is a great idea. Some of you probably do, you just need to realize how disconnected you are from the reality that most children are ra...

Re: Changing AR15 Purchase Age to 21
Your typical mass shooter is so maladjusted and socially awkward that even criminals don't want to deal with him. He can function well enough to go to the dealer and fill out a 4473, but he is not going to go all Jason Borne and procure one off the streets if the guns are outlawed. I have no problem...

I miss Rio when the ROs were just assholes and not idiotic assholes... can't remember last time I was there, I go to C2 Tactical. Its a shame because I like shooting rifles at longer ranges.

Re: Bass Pro - Sportsman's Warehouse Merger Canceled
only good thing is that I might have been able to use my points on the Cabelas credit card before Bass Pro completely ruined Sportsman's. I figure there might have been a 3 month window.
I miss old Cabelas...

Re: Crossroads coming up
Private sale pricing at this show has gone to several levels beyond normal. 800 for a Ruger P90, 900 for a gen 4 G21... Even obscure collector stuff is 2x pre covid. Came up with a new term, YOPO, You Only Price Once... That said, my buddy and I found a few deals. Once we were done laughing at the p...
