Re: Ads from the good old days
Yellow Front was a great store. I grew up in South Phoenix and the one we had down there was on Central Ave between Broadway and Southern. And yes, that was close to 50 years ago.

.308 vs .310
I'm reloading 7.62 x 39. I've reloaded some Hornady # 30302 which is a 150 gr SST bullet and shot them out of my Ruger American Ranch Rifle, using the menu out of the Hornady 11th Edition Reloading Manual. The diameter of this bullet per the box and manual is 0.308. Using the same book, can I load H...

From reading the above posts I would say that Boriqua's reason for becoming disillusioned and dropping off of AZS is justified. Jeezzz

Ruger set screws
Got a new 10/22 and I'm trying to get the set screws out to mount a scope.
They are in so tight that I'm stripping the heads.
Any suggestion on how to loosen these enough to get them out without messing up the heads?

Re: Factory Ammunition Can Ruin Your Gun Or Worse
My son and I were down at Scottsdale Gun Club using Magtech ammo. I was standing next to him while he was shooting his 1911 and heard the most recognizable sound of a squib. I stopped him immediately and we took the gun into the Smith and he popped the bullet out of the barrel. Another round had ind...

Re: Scheels Chandler Opened Today
Went back with the wife today----as recorded, still real busy. The schools around this area are currently on the fall break and there were a lot of kids running around with their parents and siblings. I'll probably wait until they are back in school to go back again. However, I was able to get to th...

Re: Scheels Chandler Opened Today
We went also. The prices were certainly nothing to brag about but boy they had a lot of firearms. I didn't even see the ammo as it was just so crowded my anxiety was setting in. Ha Had to get out of the middle of the crowds. Middle of the week trip for me. Looks like it's going to be a great store.

Re: Springfield Echelon
Relax Cloyd, you'll have a stroke. For the rest of you, I contacted Springfield today and she verified they no longer send out hard manuals but will mail me one. Also, I've seen other questions regarding the fact that the box only contains two packages of pins when there should be three to complete ...

Re: Springfield Echelon
I indicated in my question that I could access one on-line. That was not the question----from now on Cloyd, read the note before answering. Better yet, just don't answer, you're very seldom helpful. And yes, I prefer a written manual over internet scripture. I'll let you know how I like the Echelon ...

Springfield Echelon
Just got home with a new Echelon and went directly to the Manual as I usually do on new guns and there was no manual in the box. Not sure if the gun store lost it or if Springfield just doesn't include them with this firearm as they can be accessed on line.
Anyone else have this problem.
