Re: Big bore AR
50 Beowulf is a badass round out to 135 yards with my 18” barrel. Anything further then it tends to be a lob round. For just swapping out a AR15 lower, BCG to 7.62x39 & opening up the ejection port, it’s a handy caliber to have on hand. The 50 Beowulf stops feral pigs, good size game, engine blo...

Re: AK Stocks
I’d say make sure you check out all the underfolder types before you cross them off your list. Some come straight back from the receiver & some are at an angle like the Chicom UF types. The sidefolding triangle types are ok too. Like SuckMyGlock said check out the wire type side folding Romy sto...

Re: Star Pistol questions
Had a couple Stars. One in 9mm with Starvelle(?~kinda nickel) finish, and a SA/DA .45acp. None of mine had feed issues, only heard some could be finicky. Undercover early Narc’s used to love them, then Glocks came along. Lol I still have my .45 ACP & other than a little safety wear to aluminum f...

Re: New to me MAK90
The sweet part really of your find is it’s a well built AK, no doubt about that. You can change as little as you want, or put the fangs back on her & have a real beauty in all her glory. Nice to have options, ...without the preban price!😬 And probably everyone here is glad for you, but secretly ...

Re: Arisaka bayonets
My Jap milsurp is limited, but some guys I’ve known have had quite the collection. I believe Arisaka bayonets are like the Mauser produced family groups. Quite a few are the same, but there are variations.

Re: Is C&R collecting effectively dead?
No, don’t think it dead. Like few others have said Gvmnt AWB restrictions & bans from countries have impacted available cheap imports. I too remember the 3 SKS bundle for $225 out the door times. My dad used to remind me of pre ‘68 catalog ordering of right to your door. So times change, as do p...

Re: Need help on a OG Colt thunderer
Those suckers are built like a clock. That’s why they had so many issues. It was due to so many moving parts interacting one another for single or double action. All internals are same for Thunderer or Lightning models. Unfortunately, experience with any 1877 Colt dictates taking a little off at a t...

Re: New to me MAK90
For a functioning AK47 that was a fantastic find & price. The rail is left over from an aftermarket dust cover that used to have an adjustable pic rail. Not cheap to find the original Chinese dust cover, but it’s can be accomplished. Very nice, always pays to ask questions & keep the eyes on...

Re: AR versus AK - which is better? Why?
Which one is better, obviously the AR for all the positive reasons of ease of changing out calibers. I’d hope if SHTF that I could grab one of each most important calibers, at the ready to go on the run. Now, choosing only one gun to grab & run would be my AK47. Suppose if you remembered most of...

Re: 224 Valkyrie Yet
I almost jumped on one of these, but saw several videos of different guys trying to figure the optimum reload to keep a really good grouping & not booger up the brass. Guess when I think about the Valkyrie, I want to know if it’s really gonna give me something my 5.56, 6.5 Grendel, 300 blk or 50...

Re: Mexican police have guns taken away in town
Instead of crossing into the USA, those poor bastards need to clean their house. Take out the trash. Those farmers have risen up before, so the city folk can find their ballz too!
