It's an external hammer so if you cock the hammer first it's easier to rack.

I worked on mechanical things for many years and rarely had something happen that made me say "I could not adjust it to do that!" Might be a fluke.

I once had a guard at a State bldg let me carry a less than 4" knife in (not much less) because it was a tool I needed. I guess I don't look like a threat! That's another story ( keep your CCW's current).

The gas block size is the diameter of the barrel at the gas port. They are made in different sizes. The gas port hole is much, much smaller. Just but the correct size for your barrel.
