Two lectures from John Hearne: 8/13 & 8/14

John Hearne has been a longtime instructor with Tom Givens and the rest of the core Rangemaster crew. Cecil Burch will be hosting him for a weekend of classroom lecture in a couple weeks. Here's a link to his bio: https://rangemaster.com/directory/john-hearne/ Crossposted from pistol-forum: (Use pro...

Murphy's class is this weekend. Remember, please contact me via PM first if you need 9mm ammo for the class, as it will be coming from me and not him.

Re: Oh my, looks like Front Sight is having a bit of an issue

The AzCDL recently sent out an email cancelling what was to be their most recent group trip there. Given how often AzCDL supporters would plan visits there and annual meetings often auctioned, raffled, or gave away Front Sight memberships, I wonder what their reasoning was behind not going to Gunsit...

Two classes this month -- John Murphy/FPF Training (2/12-13) and Rob Haught/Symtac Training (2/19-20)

First month of the new year went by pretty fast, didn't it? Crossposting this to/from the azguns subreddit. There are two excellent training options coming through our state in February. I have previously attended both these classes, having taken John's class in 2019 and again in 2021 last year, and...

Two classes w/ John Correia of Active Self Protection this month -- Home Defense Shotgun (1/8), Women's Seminar (1/28)

Hi guys, it's been quite a busy Christmas and New Year, so I just noticed these myself. I wish I knew about them sooner so I would have been able to help get the word out sooner. I'm crossposting this to/from the azguns subreddit btw. The shotgun class is this Saturday 8a-5p at Cowtown, through C2 T...

Training classes available in Arizona, 2020 Q4

[Crossposted from the azguns subreddit, some edits.] There's plenty of stuff to do, fellas. Even if you're short on ammo. Some of this is taken from the previous list I put together last quarter, so if you're curious as to what you missed, you can go over there and check it out. ================= RE...

Re: Recommendations for force on force training?

Glen Stilson of Independence Training and Cecil Burch of Immediate Action Combatives are your best options for what you are looking for. They co-teach two classes, Close Contact Handgun and Entangled Handgun . Both classes together are informally referred to as 'ECQC Lite', as the material covered i...

Re: "Essential Daily Carry" November 7

The website needs some more TLC and I do wish there were some bona fides listed in the 'About' section, but if he's got Rangemaster instructor development/certification under his belt, plus it looks like he's been to the Tactical Conference before and you're vouching for him, then I'd say that's pre...

CANCELLED! (Citizens Defense Research - Contextual Handgun: The Armed Parent/Guardian, December 12-13, 2020) CANCELLED!

[I've crossposted this from pistol-forum.] Melody Lauer and John Johnston of Citizens Defense Research and Ballistic Radio will be visiting us in the Valley of the Sun to finish this year out, with John Correia of Active Self Protection hosting at Ben Avery. Myles Schneider is an attorney who actually trains -- I've been with him in class. A couple months ago Glen Stilson had him on his podcast, and included a small PDF download. https://www.dropbox.com/s/hcwj87un46tj6dh/Self-defense%20Power%20Point.pdf?dl=0 https://thearmsroomvom.podbean.com/e/self-def...
