I used to b**** about the quality of the gun shows, but I'm starting to miss them now that they are cancelled.

I haven't had the best of luck with the scope mounts for the M1A. To me that's a bigger issue than which scope to use. I've tried the ARMS, Springfield, and Bassett mounts with varying degrees of success.

I have a SP-01 Shadow, which is similar to the tactical with a lighter trigger due to the deletion of the firing pin block. It's reliable and a pleasure to shoot.

I'm going to pick up a Tikka T3X Tac A1. Cabela's has them on sale. My first rifle chambered in 6.5. Any recommendations on which commercial ammo to start off with?

I haven't been out gun shopping in a while. Guess I'm going to have to take a day to do the tour of the gun stores to see what's out there.

It depends on what you want to use it for.

Ammo cans and original cardboard boxes in the closet and garage.

I voted 9mm. Ammo is cheaper than a 380 and the guns chambered in 9mm now are almost the same size.

For target shooting the S&W 41. For plinking and fun the Browning Buckmark.

To me a great novelty gun but I would never shoot one indoors as a self defense weapon. I had one with a 7.5 inch barrel and the muzzle blast and noise from that thing was deafening even when shot outdoors.

May have to give this one a try until the next Great Western show comes along.
