Re: Personal Defense Insurance
I've been debating on all of the above as well...and am having trouble deciding on one of the "insurances" or something like that attorney on retainer.

Re: Why Do Gun Owners NOT Call 911 after Self Defense?
It all really "just depends." If you draw and only go to a low ready, I do believe no potential crime has been committed. If you draw and point at the perp, you will need to prove that it was necessary, or you could potentially be charged with aggravated assault. Remember, us gun owners do...

Re: CA Laws are so STUPID!!!!
Take it apart and ship it as parts, I did that years ago to ship a FAL into Ca. The receiver was not named and as parts they couldn't ding it on features because it was just a bunch of parts shipped in two boxes. All I had to do is put it together when I got the time. Finally got it. He found and F...

Re: CA Laws are so STUPID!!!!
Agree with a lot of the sentiment here. I left CA myself way back in 1987, which is when he actually bought this gun. He got a "registration" letter in 93 when they really started getting stupid with their laws. He's at the age now where he wants to get rid of some of the stuff he is not ...

Re: CA Laws are so STUPID!!!!
The ironic thing is that, because KA hates Evil Assault Weapons so much, they should make it easier, not harder, to get them out of their wonderful state. They want them destroyed. If he had any kids that lived out there, he could not even leave them to them in a will. They have to be turned over t...

Re: CA Laws are so STUPID!!!!
This is why knowing how to be an outlaw is so cool. Anyone in my circle would have just shipped it by now. (They also wouldn't be caught dead in Cali, but whatever.) That's what FFL's told him to do. But I don't want to chance him getting in trouble...just in case someone happened to check the box.

That was something I considered, but in his advanced years, he's having back issues and driving from the coast to AZ is not a good option for him.MarkItZero wrote: ↑July 24th, 2022, 12:48 pm While a pricy option, if you both really want to do the deal he could personally deliver it to an AZ FFL who could then transfer it to you

CA Laws are so STUPID!!!!
There's an old family friend that lives in CA with a Tec 9 he wants to sell me. Since it's an "assault weapon," he cannot find any FFL's that will ship it to my FFL. It's maddening. He's owned the weapon since the 80's. He got is "registration" paperwork back in the 90's and yet ...

Fair Pricing on Firearms
What is a good source to find fair market value for firearms?
My aunt is willing to sell me a Marlin 336RC in 30-30. I want to give her a fair price, but have no idea how much it is worth.
