Re: Night Vision question
If you're trying it in a completely dark closet with no IR source, that's probably your issue. You need *some* IR light to intensify otherwise it'll still be dark. My high end nods won't work in a literally completely dark cave for example. You still need secondary illumination of some sort.

Re: Beretta Ultima A300 Patrol
To add my $0.02: I have a highly modded 1301 tactical with all the goodies- aimpoint t2, mag extension, competition lifter, competition trigger group, magpul stock, aridus everything pretty much. It's great and I love it. Super reliable, very very accurate with slugs, patterns great with flite contr...

Re: Beretta Ultima A300 Patrol
.... my next shotty will be the a300 patrol and seen it locally for as low as $940 For those that are Jones'n, check with Tombstone. I am almost certain I saw their sale-price tag at something like $884-ish.. :? Correct me if I am wrong. The A300 is GAS-driven and the 1301 is Inertial, yes? :| Toda...

Re: NM Gov says no carry guns in Albuquerque
Was just passing through there the other day, saw two guys open carrying. Don't think the local population is too concerned with her antics.

Re: Beretta Ultima A300 Patrol
Does anyone have experience with the A300 patrol? I heard that it's pretty good. Thanks Thom It's good. I shot one back to back vs my 1301. Recoil is a little sharper, action is about half as fast but it patterns well and shoots consistently. Can't speak to reliability as I only had time to put a c...

Re: 7 PRC rifle build or 7mm Rem Mag?
If you're considering reaming the chamber maybe think about setting the barrel back and just rechambering for 7mag?

Re: Pin & Weld
So I have a 13.9 barrel that needed a pin & weld. Called around and Queen Creek Armory recommended Badlands Munition Co. Dropped off barrel and comp. Picked up my upper and they did an outstanding job. Price $65. They are located at 21633 S. Meridian Rd. Bldg.#3 Queen Creek 85140. Everyone else...

Re: UPS is "losing" a lot of ammo in transit
I've had 2k rounds out of 5k rounds of 5.56 "lost" in the last six months by UPS specifically. I won't order from ammo guys that don't use FedEx now. And FedEx are a bunch of commies as well, but just slightly less worse than UPS.

Re: Pistol to rifle loading
I use the same powder measures for all my reloading interchangeably, never had an issue. That said, just make sure you clean them out well, maybe use some compressed air if you're really paranoid.

Re: Blown primer was worse than I thought
Is the PPU loaded to .308 specs or 7.62x51 specs? M80 is loaded to 7.62x51 NATO specs and as such is slightly milder than civilian .308 Win. chamber pressures. Usually no issue, but might be an edge case in this instance. What bullet weights for the two different loads? That split case head and the ...

Re: Are deez primers flat?
Yes those are very flat. Where you can really tell the difference between hot and "OMG it's gonna blow" is at the edge of the firing pin dimple. Note that on these the edge of the dimple is very sharp and defined. That's getting really close to the limit. Once the edge starts looking rough...
