Re: Ben Avery - still limited to 90 minutes?
Tuesday through Friday will be on a first come first serve basis, and no time limits for shooting except hours of operation. Fee is $10 per shooter for the main range, which is 5 yds up to 200 yds. Shooters must check in one hour before the range closes. **Saturday and Sunday are by reservation, wal...

Re: Are deez primers flat?
I’m with SMG. Flat primers indicating overpressure usually run into the grove and often have cratering around the firing pin strike. I suspect what you’re seeing is more of a result of excessive headspace, which would also contribute to the “meh” accuracy. Measure the fired brass against the unfired...

Re: 6ARC or 6.5 Grendel, talk me into either
The Grendel is better as a 6mm in anything not SBR length. You’re looking at a neutered version in the ARC and basing your comparison on ballistics from barrels 10” shorter than what you’re intending to build. I don’t know where you got the data from, but I have a hard time believing there’s a 125fp...

Re: 6.5 grendel
It’s better as a 6mm than a 6.5mm. Barrels are readily available, but unless you want the slightly neutered version that Hornady came out with (6ARC) then you have to handload. It’s just one pass through a sizing die to go down to 6mm. There are 40* versions that require fireforming, but I never fou...

With what bullet? What he said. :eusa-think: :confusion-confused: :confusion-shrug: https://www.65grendel.com/forum/showthread.php?17607-Official-Grendel-SBR-Pistol-Velocity-Thread&highlight=pistol+velocity So with 90-95s? Not really what’s “routinely” used in the 6.5’s and beyond a couple hund...

Re: 6.5 grendel
I would say the only con is that to get the ballistic benefits of the 6.5Grendel, you need to have a full length barrel. If you go with a carbine barrel, performance then is barely better than 7.62x39 (in my opinion). But if you are going to have a 6.5 in a full size rifle,...then why not go just a...

If that thing solves your problem then you probably didn’t need to use a gun in the first place.

Re: Man shoots through door at would-be burglars posing as maintenance workers
That makes two of us. Opening the door doesn’t do anything to change his backdrop. He has more of a view of his surroundings through that camera than he would through an open door. If you live in a cube made of chicken wire and foam surrounded by other cubes made of chicken wire and foam it’s not go...

Re: Man shoots through door at would-be burglars posing as maintenance workers
Pretty irresponsible, open the door then start firing. No one can honestly say that what he did was o.k. He stood the chance of being hauled away for the rest of his life. G’day sir, I see you are armed and trying to kick in my front door. I can see you in my camera but you can’t see me. My advanta...
