Re: Guns of Ukraine war picture thread

As I reported back in December, Ukies being trained in Germany were seen being outfitted with Haenel MK556 rifles. After HK successfully lobbied/appealed/bribed the German gov't to cancel the contract with Haenel to make the MK556 Germany's new rifle and redirect the new contract to HK for their HK4...

Re: Kewl short from Forgotten Weapons

It wasn't just the Makarovs that ran that risk. The 5.56 Norinco AKs, like the 84S and the BWK92, also had inertial firing pins (that means with no spring to prevent slam-fire, for you neanderthals) just like the 7.62 AKs. Re: Manually cycling rounds through 1911- ok?

Actually, if you have a finely stoned match trigger job with a crisp let-off,...those are meant to only be cycled with the trigger depressed. Cycling without depressing the trigger CAN damage the fine tuning of SOME light match triggers (more accurately, the sear), potentially resulting in a sear we...

Re: Blown up and ruined guns thread

SURPLUS AMMO SAFETY ALERT!!!! This carcass that was formerly a beautiful M1 Garand was destroyed by Turkish surplus .30-06 ammo. Lots of this Turkish ammo has been around for a few years, and it has been reported to be rather inconsistent and crap. Modern turkish quality control on ammo might be goo...

Typically, criminal penalties on the res that reach the level of felony are handled by the feds. So if you do a crime serious enough there, you'll be in a federal pen.
