Re: Going into debt to buy ammo :) Time to reload.

Don’t get shocked buying components. You get a lot of rounds per pound. And the 100 bucks for 1000 primers lasts a long time. I use quarterly bonuses and buy my stuff. You’ll start saving money when you don’t have to buy brass. Granted. Bullets are pricey, but hard cast lead is a good bit cheaper. Y...

Dissipator build

Got into my mind I wanted a simple iron sight rifle to carry about in the truck for country cruises. Hit up a couple sales and ended up with a dissy barrel from Delton. I’m not crazy about 1-9tw being I shoot mostly 75gr stuff. But it works. Added a griffin taper mount so I can run my can when I wan...

Re: When you bulk reload for pistol, what bullet type do you usually choose?

I use bullets from rmr or American reloading. I only load jhp for my pistols. 124/147vr. Rmr has their line of nukes that cost great and shoot amazing out of my pistols. From American reloading I buy the sig v-crown and hst

300win mag sendero pawn shop find

More with the 300win mag. 190/220smk H4831sc Both tops Left is 70gr 2.755 and 2.775cbto 190 Right is 72.5gr, same lengths. Both seem to favor the shorter of the two bullets lengths. I’m ok with that. The 70gr charge is 2865fls average. The 72.5 8: 2916fps ave. Is 2.5gr powder worth 50fps? I’m Going ...

Re: Load for 6.5 Grendel

Nothing wrong with a compressed load. Generally speaking you’ll have better es and sd. You’ve just gotta run the right powder. I shoot a lot of 130gr Nosler rdf and arcomp when I could find it. Now I use cfe223, arcomp and aa2520. Faster powder might not be as happy with it. But my 2520 load is 27.9...

Re: New AR Barrel

If you haven’t bought yet. Check out spintaprecision.com they have a 16” dissipator barrel that’s amazing! 16” rifle gas system. Smooth shooting. I’ve got 3. If looking at 14.5” I went with a ballistic advantage mid gas barrel and love it too. It’s crazy how that 14.5” feels so much shorter than a 1...

Re: Side charging AR's

I’ve used spartan side chargers. But personally I think the gibbz is a better upper. The bca are fairly low end and I’ve know 2 friends that the charge handle broke during use being it is reciprocating. I’ve got 3 gibbz uppers. 2 Grendel’s, one of which I’m selling if you’re looking, and a 16” 223. ...
