Re: Watches
Depending on your tastes there is the seiko automatics. Or drop 70$ on a gshock and never think about it again. I went with the middle route for my EDC of a gshock ga100 it is an analog gshock.

Dry practice to live fire is 3:1. But live rounds about 250-300 from holster/concealment at least 1x a month. Not nearly as much long Gun practice as I should but at least one training class on long Gun per year.

Re: weapon lights for AR 15
I would look at a surefire mini scout or x200. Plenty can be found online in your price range. The mini scout has the push button on the x200 has a rocker switch. Both are rock solid IMHO

Re: weapon lights for AR 15
What is it going on? Sbr or rifle length? Are you going to be putting it on a railed forend? What type of activation method do you want? Tape switch or tailcap?
As to brand Surefire is top notch.
There are lots of deals to be had depending on what you are looking for.

Like the 2 above posts, I have the same question of durability. I played with the system at the last G&F expo @ Ben Avery and it was very slick. To the point that it was almost cheating to ring steel. But, again that was a vendor demo on a bench...

On the shotgunning side don’t forget Tom Knapp. Great guy who would take the time to talk to everyone. He even gave my buddy’s daughter some impromptu coaching at one of the events we were at.

Re: I was gifted a 4 day carbine class at Front Sight
Training is 'ok'..... just be ready for the sales pitches for all the great 'development' they are going to do. Same spiel from 20-25 years ago...and still no development! To be completely fair, they have made quite a bit of development since "20-25 years ago" - though not at the speed or...
