Re: Ruger Single Six Bisley Grip Frame Conversion
Not that hard. Just takes some time and patience. It's mostly cosmetic. Kind of like gunsmithing with Legos.

Re: Ruger Single Six Bisley Grip Frame Conversion
Found a Power Custom Bisley hammer/Vaquero trigger kit. Just finished installing it. Although the original Single Six hammer worked and looked okay, I think the Bisley hammer just looks better. The Bisley hammer is just a little lower and a little longer making it easier to reach. The 18 # hammer sp...

Re: Pawn Shop Find Gary Reeder Stealth Hawk
I considered buying it myself. I like Gary Reeder's work but it seems a waste for me since the only thing I hunt is paper. Plus my "Real He-Man" card expired a while ago. Arthritis is really starting to affect my hands. It now takes both hands to hold a can of beer.

Pawn Shop Find Gary Reeder Stealth Hawk
If anybody in the Phoenix area is interested, I stumbled across a Gary Reeder 410 GNR Stealth Hawk while looking for a Single Six at a local pawn shop. They're asking for $1200 although I bet there's a little wiggle room in that number. It appears to be a Version 1 conversion and is in pretty good s...

Ruger Single Six Bisley Grip Frame Conversion
I've always liked Ruger single actions with a Bisley grip frame. I've done a couple of New Model Blackhawk 357s and decided I wanted a 22 Single Six Bisley conversion. After looking around a bit, I didn't realize how relatively easy it is to do. All you need is a: - A complete plow handle 22 Single ...

Re: 357 Ruger Bisley
The donor for the original Bisley steel grip frame was a 7 1/2" New Model Blackhawk 357. It now has a Ronnie Wells Potato Judge brass grip frame. https://i.imgur.com/PYqLJLX.jpg The brass grip frame was easier to work with, but took longer since I didn't want to refinish the blue cylinder frame...

Re: So you are a Rifleman?
Seems like most people use 22LR due to cost, but I think you might be able to use centerfire also. In addition to their 25 meter qualification, their website mentions Known Distance shooting out to 400 yards and a pistol program too.

357 Ruger Bisley
I wanted a 4 5/8" 357 Magnum Blackhawk Bisley but since Ruger doesn't seem to make one, I decided to put one together. I started with a new Blackhawk and then found a used 7 1/2" Bisley 357 at a Bass Pro. I swapped the grip frames, putting the steel Bisley grip on the shorty and the alumin...

Re: Ruger American Predator 223
Couple of folks have mentioned how the RAR 556 would make an inexpensive truck gun. Somebody followed up suggesting a folding stock would make it even better. And someone else mentioned Sharps Bros Heatseeker. Okay, here's my take on all that, although I blew "inexpensive" all to hell in t...

Re: Ruger American Predator 223
Let’s see some groups of these tack drivers I don't take many photos or keep a lot of targets, but I have a few. 100 yard https://i.imgur.com/B85k2VP.jpg 300 yard https://i.imgur.com/gIMO9xu.jpg After seeing results like that, I’m going to redefine my groups as “patterns”. Very nice!

Re: Ruger American Predator 223
Agree. Unfortunately, I can't find anybody to sell a bag of shooting skill yet.
