Re: Your fellow citizens will happily send you to the ovens
To be fair, I'd happily send the statists (of any particular flavor) to an open burn pit.

Re: Need A Job? -- CA Is Hiring Gun Confiscators @ Up To 66K Starting Wage....
The all-powerful State that we all love and trust, of course. They know what's best for us.
That salary's pretty weak for a moving target job. Hopefully, the position's detriments and risks pose too hazardous.

Re: Roller lock platform
As a re-loader I dislike the chamber flutes left in fired cases from a roller lock G3 or PTR-91. They eventually flatten out but I still don't like them deforming the brass. I reload all the brass that goes through my PTR. The flutes pose no issue to reloading and the brass functions fine in my oth...

I have to try hard not to shoot one-hole groups with a .17 Savage. Great rifle, and a fun little cartridge.

Re: Roller lock platform
My PTR-91 shoots nice little clover-leaf groups and recoils almost as softly as my FALs. I have no desire for another, but it's not going anywhere, and I'm sitting on a pile of mags and spare parts.

And she's a looker, too.
Good for them. I like South Dakota. Need to do a road trip up to there.

Re: AR versus AK - which is better? Why?
I wouldn't run an AR without a self-lubricated bolt... nickel, chrome, NP3, etc. Why? Plenty of ARs run fine without them. Keeping the parts lubricated is more important than any particular surface treatment. [For what it's worth, most of mine run either nitrided or nickel boron'ed bolt components,...

I like a story with a happy ending. It's seems like his child will be better off without him, too.

Re: Gunsmiths or recommendations chime in
Here's a shop NOT on my to-recommend list: Kilo Guns just south of Deer Valley Airport. Dropped off an Aero Precision M5 upper, handguard, and Faxon 6.5 CM barrel for assembly and headspace. The goddamned barrel nut came loose because they only used two shims out of the five I provided . :mad...

No way!
The only thing of theirs that I bought that actually worked well was their FAL spring kits.

I love that state, but holy sheeeit are there some absolutely retarded folks, and they vote.
I hope those sheriffs told them to pound sand.

Re: Colonel Rex Applegate Point Shooting Instructional Film WWII
It amazes me how far firearms instruction has progressed from such humble and rudimentary beginnings. Still, we can thank folks like Applegate that actually cared enough to break the mold in mainstream tactical thinking at the time.

Keep your eyes on the ball .. if groups like AZCDL and NRA can grow membership by 10%, If politicians receive pro 2A votes from a new base by attracting an ever growing hispanic population and informing them of our rights .. plus plus plus.
