Re: Just Started Prepping For CBRN Situations

Yes - as a former Army NBC officer and certified HAZMAT professional, I can affirm from my training/education/experience that opening filter packs, CBRN drug prophylaxes (Pyridostigmine Bromide) and both barrier as well as charcoal impregnated suits to the air gradually decreases their effectivenes...

Re: Ceramic plates do NOT spall

Yes, but their level iV has always been a ceramic plate. Although, I just double checked and if you’re looking at their level III+ Steel plate, in 11x14 not 10x12, with a build up, you get pretty close to 12lbs.

Just Started Prepping For CBRN Situations

I just stocked up on masks, 6 nbc-77 filters, PAPR, gloves, haZ suits and misc part for everyone in my family because these guys were doing a sale on the MIRA safety stuff and I saved a few hundred bucks over Optics Planet pricing. https://www.survivalsupermart.com/collections/gas-masks-and-filters ...

Re: .223 vs 5.56 Acog reticles

I’ve done some research and am having a hard time finding a straight answer. I see Acog’s listed for .223 and others listed for 5.56. While I can accept that they may make different reticles, I’m just wondering if anyone can confirm that is the case - and that it’s not just a matter of lazy dealer ...

Re: .223 vs 5.56 Acog reticles

I’ve done some research and am having a hard time finding a straight answer. Didn't do enough research. I spent 90 seconds and looked at Trijicon's website...I didn't know if you knew you could do that...you can, anyone is allowed to. Trijicon labels them as .223/5.56 reticles. You’re right, and th...

Gunslinger808 wrote: February 14th, 2021, 6:59 pm Another point for ceramics is weight.
My level IV weigh about 6 pounds each, AR500 plates are about 12 pounds each.
Not that I disagree about spelling or ceramics being lighter, But Ar500’s heaviest steel plate is only 8 lbs.

I’m a little late to the party, but I’m partial to the Galco Paragon and Quicktuk Cloud.
