Re: Discussion on AZSAuctions.com site - is now live - buy/sell/trade

The value of a the old classifieds was it was part of a community that many of us had been members of for going on 20yrs, through many iterations. I guess I’ve been around long enough to just be in the cranky old reluctant to change guy category. Hell, I’ve got contacts on my phone from AZS trading ...

Re: Discussion on AZSAuctions.com site - is now live - buy/sell/trade

Any reason why the ads aren’t stable and the site flops listings around every time I try to look at it or scroll through?

Trying to like it, miss the regular classified...

Re: My deer rifle getting heavy!

For deer, I’m happy with a Grendel and would be confident within 600yds. Big mulies and elk, I’m going 65CM or 7-08 for about the same range. I shot steel competitively for years and can hit farther, but I do not like the ethics of long distance hunting (animals aren’t predictable once flight time a...

Anybody else like the old Taurus 66’s?

Maybe I’m nuts, I’m not a well-heeled revo guy but I’ve been around a few in my day. I’m just sayin, these old Tauri smith19 copies are, IMHO, so much better than the newer designs.

Re: Motorcycle carry

I take it not too many folks here have ever had a car bump them multiple times trying to run them off the highway, or been presented with lethal force while riding. I didn’t mean to stir s***, just presenting my opinion, and the “cruise control” suggestions are actually pretty fkin funny to me-the f...

Re: Motorcycle carry

If you’re right handed, I’d suggest learning to shoot/carry support side proficiently.
Shooting and controlling a bike both with the right hand only works on tv.

Re: What are y'all carrying?

Go ahead and laugh if you want, but I scored a Diamondback DB9 on gunbroker last year for $115. It’s on me all the time, loaded with 124gr JHP’s. 700+ rds through it and it hits where it’s pointed. I have other pistols I carry that could score me cool guy internet points, but I guarantee I break rul...

Re: Which caliber do you prefer? Why?

As I’ve acquired more age and experience, these questions interest me less. I’ve become a committed “define the job, then pick the tool” guy in almost all aspects of life, be it 9 vs 45, Harley vs Sport bike, Jeep vs Truck, etc etc... That said, for carry I evolved to 9mm since the development of tr...

Re: Chronograph

Magnetospeed are convenient as heck for rifles, but a good old shoot through the screens setup is good to have if you reload for revo’s, pistols, etc. CED and PACT have always been good for me, even the cheaper models. Hand gun work I’m usually just into finding AVG and ES. I don’t chase SD with my ...

Re: Henry Rifles

Henry’s are awesome, but I hated the loading. I’d go Marlin for 45-70 in new, and Rossi 92 if I were going to go 45LC (they take the high pressure “Ruger only loads, as the 45LC is same barrel/receiver Rossi uses for their 454). My lever is a Win 94 in 44mag, and it actually has a Marlin contract mi...

Re: AR versus AK - which is better? Why?

-Only accurate rifles are interesting.
-200rd grab and go load is light
-I’m not 5’ 2” with a round head
-when we fight on our turf I think it will be blue helmets or our own, and I want to grab ammo in the fight

Guess my choice...
