Re: Which Muzzle Break for an 11.5 inch AR Pistol?

I use the pig on my 5.5 fun switch lower which needs the blast tamed and worth the higher cost. Has an inner like baffle and acts as a flash suppressor. The KAK is single piece unit and I find it does a nominal job for the cost directing muzzle blast from the shooter on 10.5" and up barrels. Pe...

Then just hold tight to reduce muzzle rise.
Spot on, muzzel blast is the #1 item I felt was really needed. I shoot my shorty alot and especially for those near me the pig works great. I have KAK's on my other short AR's.

Re: Talk to me about MRE's

Look up "First Strike Rations" they are 24 hour packs that come in cases of 9. Meant for first 72 hours. Designed for full day of snack/meals approx 2900 cal on the go. Vender on Amazon has deal on cases incl/shipping right now. Super handy on hunts and day treks taking up less space than ...

Re: Talk to me about MRE's

I just cycled some out and found them at $100-140 per case depending on brand... USGI contractor or good sim civilan. Figure $25-35 per day cost. I always expect 5 years stored in conditioned space and cycle out to vehical backup for 1 year+/-. Have both MRE's for grab and go and freeze dried stash ...

Re: Wet Tumbler... Juice Worth the Squeeze?

I almost gave up on Frankford after 4 or 5 batches. Pain in the a** recovering pins (which you never get them all) clean up and watching for the stuck ones while loading. The lemishine and car wax works as well in my experiance. I do large batches during the summer months. Shake and lay in the sun. ...

Re: Wayne LaPierre Stepping Down

I believe the NRA may have been able to turn things around several icebergs ago. Wayne waited until after the deck chairs all slid by and water was up to the band before his leap.

Re: Easy to rack pistol

I got one for the wife. She loved the overall feel that shields have. She struggled with it. We took it out on several outtings and practiced with hundreds of rounds. Not engaging the saftey or over compensation of grip causing low shots. She never got comfortable/relaxed with it to be able to draw ...

Re: Shield 30 carry

Responding to question I received ....does slide from shield plus 9mm interchange with 30 super carry. Yes, it does fit chamber and cycle mag+ammo manually. Appears to be exactly the same lower body. I have not shot them after a swap but I am confident they will. Will update after a day at the range...

Re: Shield 30 carry

Just completed order for a good amount of start up practice and defence ammo plus a few extra mags. I have a few optics stashed thankfully. This will surely place me back on the wifes naughty list.

Those who beat me to it feel free to share any recepies you like for recycling the brass.

Sooner the better, will be E-Z up time. May want an earlier start too. I am good with same spot but open to another place within range.
