Re: wait time on silencer
That's the quickest E-form 4 I've heard of. I just certified mine today and I'm assuming it'll be about a 3-4 month wait as that seems to be the average right now. Unfortunately, that speed of approval came at a price.. the dealer that I got it from, had his license revoked over some stupid petty B...

Re: Quentin Defense transfers
Jason no longer owns the shop. Apparently it changed hands on the 2nd of Oct. Also the layout is completely different. When you walk in you wait in a small area by the door. Rest of the floor space is taken up, no displays, no browsing. Anymore insight to what happened? Someone come in and make him...

Re: The McCloskeys use famous photo of themselves in Christmas cards - UPI wants to sue for use of the photo
Everyone sues everyone for the dumbest s*** these days. What's next, someone takes a picture of a cool car on the street, posted it to Facebook captioned "Check out this cool car", get sued by the owner for taking a picture of a cool car in public.

Re: Question on a S&W 1911
That's not good. Safety doesn't work. I believe S&W has a lifetime warranty. I would have him send it to them. They will fix it and may not charge him. But that gun is unsafe.

Re: Talk about price gouging
The .22 hording after SandyHook really pissed me off. I couldn't easily replenish it so I had to slow the kids down/take them out less to make it stretch. 9mm and 5.56 came back before .22 did. It was pretty ridiculous. I happened to be up by pistol parlour Saturday so stopped in to see what they ha...

Re: Your predictions on when the panic buying might subside or end
If Trump wins we are probably looking at mid 2021 for supply to be plentiful and prices to be reasonable.
If Biden wins...we are screwed. We will not see reasonable pricing or supplies. He has been very open about taking guns, restricting ammo, and taxing the hell out of it all.

Re: MIG or TIG welder for HK G3 Build?
MIG is like a hot glue gun. Effective, Fast, used in major production, not always as pretty in inexperienced hands. TIG is going to be stronger, look better, it's slower but more precise. I would TIG it. If you don't plan to weld much, have a welding shop do it. IF you plan to weld a lot, invest in ...

Re: Cable Retention
I was just figuring out the same thing for the Streamlight I put on my Mk18. I don't have a ton of excess cable to worry about snagging. I think I'll be able to get away with one small ziptie to secure the excess cable. On a rifle with a quad rail, such the RIS on the MK18, I used LaRue rail clips....
