Re: Which Muzzle Break for an 11.5 inch AR Pistol?
Natchez.com has a muzzle brake in their AR parts for less than $20. I use similar ones for the same price range with good results. Ultimate Reloaders on you tube has an interesting video on the testing of brakes with different outlet sized diameters. He is also an engineer so built the testing equip...

Re: Military receives new rifles
Looks like the base might be steel and the body brass. Doesn't the 277 Sig military version have the same type of case running a very high pressure?

Re: Wet Tumbler... Juice Worth the Squeeze?
I have the wet and corn cob tumblers. I like both but when I use the wet I will let them dry then run them in the corncob with new finish for a bit. Keeps them from tarnishing so fast versus wet with no corn cob. I found if you keep the water level low in the FA it helps keep the caps from leaking a...

Re: Which Muzzle Break for an 11.5 inch AR Pistol?
I shoot a lot of short barreled single shot guns in rifle cartridges. 444 Marlin, 243 Win, 30-30AI, 6.5 Tcu, 270 win., 6 PPC. Plus many rifles in various calibers. I have found that the plain vanilla brake with 3 large side vents and only top vents in the center of the top with no bottom vents works...

Re: Having to sift through a dead man's gun stuff
I liked Annette's also. At the time he was a little higher priced that most of the other shops but I liked going in there. I had to do the same thing when my granddaughters other grandpa passed away from covid. did the same when my mother-in-law passed in Michigan but no guns that time, just everyth...

Re: The coming powder shortage
Take a look at the Hodgdon website. With the cost of shooting and food I will not be buying any new powders or the latest bullets to try out.

Re: 7 PRC rifle build or 7mm Rem Mag?
Can't do that with an Encore single shot. The hinge pin block it welded to the barrel.
I have a Savage 110 that I have a 300 Wm barrel and a 7mm Rm barrel for I am putting together. If I don't like that I can rerchamber a 24" Encore barrel I have that is currently 7mm-08 to 7 RM.

Re: Reduce Recoil on Long Rifle
A Leadsled sure helps. I can put #40 of lead on mine for the larger guns. I always will shoot a few rounds after I am done with the Leadsled off bags just to confirm the zero. The Leadsled also allows more precise scope adjustments as it holds the rifle in position well when adjusting the turrets.

You trying to keep it original or just to shoot? I may have one that is shortened but won't be able to check right away.

I lay a knife blade edge against the side of the screw if it sticks up at all above the action. The blade works like continuation of the threads and the screws usually turns right out when the screw is turned.

Re: Has fedEx changed its shipping rules?
My rifle came directly back to me via Fed-ex about a week ago. Would have been nice if Savage had actually fixed it instead of making it worse.

Re: Has fedEx changed its shipping rules?
I sent a rifle to Savage in November. Savage had e-mailed me a copy of their FFL and a shipping label. Dropped it off at 7st & Greenway store with no problem. Guy just asked me if Savage sent me the label.
