Re: Props for Burris
Good to know. I just picked up a nice used 3-12x Burris. Good to know they'll take care of it if I need it

Re: RMR Riser
Actually, I've got a spare ADM RMR pattern QD riser that'd work well for you.
As noticed, it'll be too low to work without a riser.
Pop it on and off as needed, DM me if interested.

Re: Suppressor Questions
I've got a Griffin Bushwhacker 46, a Bushwhacker 36 might be of consideration as well. They're both user serviceable, so you can shoot rimfire/cast through them. If you're looking for something a bit more budget minded, but still fully featured, and high preforming, Rex Silentium might be worth a co...

Finally put an optic worthy of the rest of the rifle on it. All I have left to grab is a foregrip.

Re: Smith & Wesson M&P FPC 9mm
Direct blowback?
Pass.
It's neat, but it's essentially same-same as three dozen other Direct Blowback 9mm carbines on the market in the same price range.
Charge a little more, make something that actually stands out other than using M&P mags.

Re: AR Pistol w/ no brace
I might throw one of those shortie tubes on my 9mm. It's currently a 16" carbine, but think I want to shorten it up. It's unwieldy with an 8" can on it. Don't mind playing the ATF/NFA game, just not sure how much good faith I have in the ATF with this whole "amnesty" ordeal. $200...

Re: New AR Barrel
Thanks for your honesty @Hammer 35 always thought it was a can of worms. I might be staring straight at it in the future that is why I am trying to decide now, spend the extra $80.00 on gages or chance it...... So, I've also heard tell that a in-spec factory cartridge will act reasonably well as a ...

Re: New AR Barrel
I was under the impression that when you get a barrel with the extension on it, it has been headspace. At least from reputable companies. You can frequently get barrel+bolt combos that have been factory set and checked. Typically only higher end companies will offer that service, White Oak Armory e...

Re: New AR Barrel
So if I change my barrel using good (mil spec) parts do I have to check headspace after barrel swap? I have read both ways and don't really want to have to buy go/no go gages, this guy (below) says check it every time the chamber is cleaned......and I have never done that. 8. How often should I che...

BA is good, they're owned by AERO.
Buddy just bought about a half dozen barrels from them for various projects.

Re: Ruger Fan question
I can't say that having a duplicate of your favorite gun is a bad thing.
I've had matching sets of pistols before.
Two-is-one and all that.

Re: New AR Barrel
Carbine gas is for 14.5" barrels or shorter Mid length gas for 16" Rifle gas for 18"+ Pistol gas for under 10" I divested myself of my AR pistols awhile ago. Not for any legal concerns, I just prefer more pipe for rifle cartridges. The easy button is a 16" middy 1:8 223 Wyld...

Just put this one together the other day out of some spare parts.
Need to decide on muzzle device still.
