Without getting into all the minutiae of all the multitude of loadings, it'd be easiest to just post it up here and see what kind of a deal can be struck.
In normal times I'd say probably 1:2 308-5.56/9mm now adays, probably more like 3:4 now since 5.56 is more in demand.

Never used it.
Universal is very similar, meters better than unique typically.

Re: Using Hodgdon H110
There's been entire thesis written on why H110/Win296 dosen't play well with light loads, a stick google will explain it better than I can.

Re: Using Hodgdon H110
H110/Win296 is about the most dangerous powder to try and download with. If you're not running full-tilt magnum loads (which it does very safely) it is not the right tool for the job.

Re: R700 bdl flush bottom metal for dbm?
Grayboe makes one that when using a 3 round AICS mag is kinda flush. Isn't insanely expensive. The Magpul DBM unit for the Hunter stocks can be made to fit and is pretty competitively priced. I'm sure with a 3 round mag it would be similar to the Grayboe unit in appearance. If you're handy, you can ...

Ain't no shame in knowing your limits. Wish I could recommend someone for you, but I'm new to the area.shorepatrol wrote: ↑January 29th, 2021, 9:55 pm Ya, I've watched the videos. Not interested in f*** up my stock. I've tried on a couple. I'm not good at it.

Re: 22-250 rifles
I looked into it a little, looks like they're still allowing hunts. General consensus is that the quality of hunts has gone up since starting to charge. Some hikes around here cost pert near as much, so the price of admission dosen't cause me to balk. Once I get the Varmint tuned up and dialed in, w...

Re: 22-250 rifles
I used to shoot prairie dogs up in Seligman. It was a lot of fun with a bull barrel .223 shooting 40 gr V-Max reloads. You could see the hit through the scope, no noticeable recoil. I bought the same rifle in 22-250 for longer range, with the same bullet. I could never see my hits, as the recoil wa...

It's pretty simple to glass bed a rifle.
Plenty of YouTube tutorials. If you can put together Ikea furniture I'd hazard a guess you could do it yourself for under $20.

Re: 9mm revolvers
I really enjoy 45acp revolvers. I've got a Ruger Large frame Blackhawk Bisley 45 convertible (no moon clips needed) and a 625JM (works with or without the clips). I've owned a 627Pro and didn't like the use of clips with 38/357, 9mm would probably work better. But 45acp on clips just WORKS. Those bi...

Re: What's your go-to medium game hunting cartridge?
Right now, my max range, in good conditions, settled in with a bipod and a bedded down target with a chance to tag it with my rangefinder would be about 300 I'd say. That's only if all the stars align. Detract distance depending on how far from perfect each variable is. I've gotten rid of the Abolts...

I have Garmin Instinct, love it. Hammer, youll like the Fenix 5. I would've gotten that had I known it can last 2 weeks on single charge. I'd probably will buy that next. In case you're wondering, after three claims filed with the USPS, the Fenix I ordered in November should be here tomorrow. Hope ...

Re: Savage's new straight pull action
It looks like they rolled everything out on the website. There's even a review or two out now. The only three models they have on the website are a little hefty at ~8.5 or more, but they all have medium to heavy barrels, ACCUFIT/ACCUSTOCK stocks which will all bulk the weight up some. They did confi...

Re: 458 Socom
I have a lot of fun with mine. I was already making bullets and loading for .458" (45-70 & .460 WBY) bullets so it was an easy choice. I also didn't want to mess with needing different magazines, just use Lancer 5.56 mags and you are set. I primarily shoot cast bullets that I Powder Coat a...
