Re: ID requirement
There are some around here that believe state laws can supersede federal law, but 18 USC 922(a)(5)(a) makes it a federal offense for a non-FFL to transfer a firearm to someone who they know or have reasonable cause to believe is a resident of a different state. The exception is a bequest of a firear...

Re: Can I by law have a Medical Marijuana card and have firearms?
The fact you're so sure if yourself when you're flat out wrong is the best part of this post. Read the quotes from the case in my post above, which apply actual logic to the situation instead of making the ASSumption that every mmj card holder actually uses marijuana. There's no requirement to use ...

Re: Can I by law have a Medical Marijuana card and have firearms?
Ah, but the person is an unlawful user if they have a medical marijuana card. Why? Because of the statement on Form 4473 11.e Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance? Warning: The use or possession of mari...

Re: Can I by law have a Medical Marijuana card and have firearms?
Not sure what country you love in, but here in the US we don't make laws telling us what we can do before we can do it - we look to laws to determine what we can't do. The ATF has not, and cannot, issue any lawful regulations to prevent someone from BUYING a firearm simply because they have a mariju...

Re: Can I by law have a Medical Marijuana card and have firearms?
"The panel held that plaintiff’s Second Amendment claims did not fall within the direct scope of United States v. Dugan, 657 F.3d 998 (9th Cir. 2011), which held that the Second Amendment does not protect the rights of unlawful drug users to bear arms. Taking plaintiff’s allegations in her firs...

Let the misinformation flow once again... really? what misinformation are you referring to? and what do you have to add to the subject ??? If I had the time I would look it up and post links, however recently I happened to see this exact thing addressed in an article in SAR magazine Vol 20 #1 page ...

Re: Shooting on private land
I'm not sure what the confusion is with the reading of the law. Hunting = 1/4 mile; Target shooting = 1 mile. Cities or towns can't make ordinances that supersede state law as was suggested earlier. This is still only applies to "within or into the limits of any municipality"; Every Munic...

Problem with Paypal is you have to hook your bank account up to the paypal account. If he dosent make good on this it comes directly out of my checking account. The bank also now has copies of everything and has submitted it to their fraud division. Not how I wanted to spend my saturday morning but...

I think I'd tell PayPal to shove their negative balance where the sun doesn't shine. Suing Neil at this point will be like trying to get milk from a rock. I think your lawyer's time is better spent working on PayPal to convince them Neil is using their system to perpetuate his fraud and your negativ...

Re: Shooting on private land
It could still work if you get situated next to natl forest or state land, in a county or remote town that has a 1/4 mile rule on the books No. State law says you can't shoot within a mile of an occupied structure in or into a municipality (i.e. town). Even if a town ordinance said 1/4 mile, you wo...
