Remembering John Hobbs
8 years ago today we lost a member of our AZS community. Many of us knew and considered John a friend. In addition to being a Detective with the Phoenix Police Department he was also an accomplished 1911 gunsmith. Re: Gonzales police officer arrested after stealing dozens of guns
You mean the guns that were “stolen” out of the back of his car? At Wally World, no less... Wasn’t there something about when ATF yanked his license, when he refused to surrender his post samples? I remember ATF had gone to a few shops he had done business with looking for info on his whereabouts. ...

Re: DDLES still in business?
DDLES site is up and copyright is relatively current (2021). I know they had issues back in 2014 and stopped making receivers. The site now is just little parts and adapters. Email still works. I placed an order for ~$50 and it charged, got my order notification via email and my CC was charged. Thi...

Re: list of items seized by the ATF
These lists do not include all the firearms that are taken from people being coerced into surrendering them so that they will appear to be cooperating with an “investigation”. I saw it happen to customers multiple times.

Unfortunately they have had some issues with drunk assholes in previous years. Current policies are an obvious evolution from previous events.

Re: What is you most obscure or unique AR lower?
I have an AZEX marked billet lower made by Sun Devil MFG that was about a 1 of 10 Derek Did back in the day. Nothing really special except to me i guess. And a couple of Tactics Inc LLC done by Scott Milkovich years ago. And a couple Ameetec Gilbert, AZ Lowers, Good Old Warren Mee..... Very nice. I...

What is you most obscure or unique AR lower?
What AR lower do you own that is unique? Customs, one offs, limited runs. What you got?
Mine has to be one of the limited run of lowers that was done by DDLES for Reddit. I’ve never seen another one in person.

Re: Federal 30SC anyone?
I like it in theory. It was smart to get a couple well known manufacturers producing pistols for it. I think it will come down to whether Glock produces a pistol for it as to how successful it is. Like it or not Glock is the benchmark for CCW firearms. If they decide not to produce a pistol chamber...

Green is typically easier for people with astigmatism to see. Red dots or reticles tend to blur or starburst for them.

Re: Fake Howa Website
A friend of mine is an FFL in Fountain Hills. He had someone use his FFL to start a fake website. Obviously committing fraud on people that were buying anything on the site, as they were collecting payment, but there wasn’t any guns coming. He contacted ATF, FBI and even MCSO. Nobody was even intere...
