Re: New G48 MOS

I assumed a bit of controversy might arise from the topic, but I can appreciate people challenging each others' thoughts. I think dots and WMLs offer significant benefits to any pistol, but for the sake of concealment, there's always the trade-off of size. It always breaks down to proficiency, and i...

Re: CCW wait time

Got mine back with notes. Forgot to fill out the MO lol. Pretty quick response from DPS though. Hoping they're as quick the next time around.

Re: Watch for Californians looking for co-conspirators

I just require a AZDL and CCW for any private sales and am willing to wait for a qualified buyer.
It's not great if you're in a hurry, but it's a simple foundation I can apply to all firearms-related sales without getting into the weeds on how people feel about Californian refugees or non-CCW holders.

New G48 MOS

I'm looking at the new MOS version of this pistol (G48) and while I was admittedly excited about it, I can't help but feel like the size difference of a G19 is going to be rather marginal after putting the new mini RMR and whatever new WML offering becomes available on it. That said, I still might t...

Re: CCW wait time

Mine sat in our office mailbox for a month before someone brought it in thinking I had received mail. Turns out USPS either doesn't accept outgoing mail from our box, or they looked at it for a month assuming it was addressed to the office. Hopefully there's not an expiration date for the fingerprin...

Re: Elk hunt

I plan on using 178gr Hornady ELD-X and staying inside 500 yards. As others have mentioned, I think you'd be fine with just about anything but an FMJ as long as you keep it at a reasonable distance. I like the newer bullets that Hornady, Barnes, Nosler, and others are making because they seem to per...

Swarovski NL Pure

If anyone gets a chance to look through these, do it. They are incredible. Before anyone mentions it, I know they're expensive, so I won't argue about that.
That said, seeing is believing and the 12x42's are worth looking through.

Re: Any radio guys out there?

I am not a licensed HAM user, but I'm open to getting it. Just figured I'd play with the many features that don't require that first and see how much I feel the need to pursue a HAM license.

Not sure if they still do slide work, but you might try Overwatch Precision in N. Phoenix. Their triggers are second to none.

Any radio guys out there?

Just picked up a radio and I'm looking to figure out how to set it up for small team comms (1 vehicle to another in the backcountry). It's a Baofeng UV-5R.
