Re: Armalite AR10B
Good summation. I picked up an AR-10 at a local shop shortly after the 2008 election and was astonished at the weight. Ended up buying a DPMS lower and diving into the build-your-own universe. Still modifying and tweaking it all these years later. Still weights at least 2lbs less than Armalite's. On...

Re: Garand Thumb tests a $400 PSA upper
My understanding is that FN still makes the CHF barrels for PSA's "Premium" line, and that DC Machine (a PSA company) makes the other PSA branded barrels. Didn't know who made the cheap barrels, but this arrangement is what I understood. This is why I was irked that PSA did not want the g...

Re: Garand Thumb tests a $400 PSA upper
Did PSA make it right? They sent me two (1 extra) barrels. Both exhibit slightly off center chamber reaming, but nowhere as bad as the first one. The evidence of this is the rifling not starting with all at the same distance into the bore. Built a spare upper with the "best" one and set i...

Re: Ads from the good old days
The mass shootings must have been every day with all those easy to buy firearms.
Oh wait, there were no mass shootings?

The cops went home safe that night, I keep hearing that is what is most important.kenpoprofessor wrote: ↑April 3rd, 2024, 4:40 am Another incident that the public will pay for, and the cops will walk away without any consequence, qualified immunity. Back the blue, back the blue, yea, OK.

"in conformity with the law"
Stopping to ponder the law is a great way to get killed, I think.

Not by me.
The "special" treatment and attitude of various agents of the government has p!ssed me of for quite a few years.

Wish they had examined the chamber reaming better.
I posted my disastrous PSA Freedom barrel with grossly off center chamber reaming.
Never again.

The Shield Plus is about 0.2" thinner than the 30. Big difference in bulk stuffed IWB.

Luckily a S&G dial lock is only around $100 and well within the capability of the average gun owner to swap out.
