Re: Budget AR build
Take a look at Optics Planet as well. They sell a lot more than just optics!

S&W SD40VE trigger
I have a Smith SD40VE. The VE stands for Very Economical, and it shows. It's not a bad pistol, but it's definitely not my favorite. My biggest complaint is the trigger. The trigger creep is huge! I could almost make a sandwich in the time I start to pull the trigger till the time it fires. I see the...

Re: Preferred hunting rifle for under $600
I'm not familiar with the Ruger American. Ruger makes excellent guns. If it has a synthetic stock, I would make sure it is rigid enough to not touch the barrel when shooting it. That can adversely affect accuracy. I've seen a few videos showing that they can slide a dollar bill between the stock an...

Re: Preferred hunting rifle for under $600
Following, I'm in the same camp. Looking to buy a hunting rifle, and I've also decided to go with 30-06. I've read a lot of good reviews on the Ruger American. I think I'm leaning that direction.

Has anyone tried this rear sight rail for an AK? Looks like a good way to mount a red dot.

Re: Light/laser
I agree, skip the laser. I recently put a light and laser combo on my Glock 19. A Streamlight TLR -6. I initially aligned the laser with the iron sights, then just last week I went to the range and shot with it for the first time. After fine tuning it, and shooting 3 magazines through it, the laser ...

Avatar pic sizing?
How do I go about making a pic small enough to be an avatar pic? I've tried a couple, but it keeps saying they're too large.

Re: Sig Romeo 5 Review And Torture Test
I just put a Romeo 5 on my new PSA 18" upper. I've only shot 90 rounds through it so far, but I'm loving it.

I'll second that. They've reopened. I live just down the road from them. I went in and bout a few rounds just a couple days ago.

Re: Looking for an ar-15 trigger
Just earlier today I ordered a Rise Armament Rave 140 drop in trigger for mine. It has some great reviews. I figure I'll add an ambi safety selector while i'm under the hood.

New/Old guy here
Hi guys. It's been a while. I haven't been on here in about 10 years. I used to go by the name Powertrip240, but that was registered to an old email address... Long story short, I'm back. I'm looking forward to getting back into the sport.
