Re: What type of AR would you be interested in?

I'm probably not going to give you the answer that you are looking for. I'm more interested in finding a solid local parts supplier - as I'm increasingly building the stuff that I want - not buying it built. As to complete guns - I'll tell you what I would do... it is just one perspective - just my ...

Re: S&W Model 17 advice (choice of version, fair price)

Which reminds me: Make some sort of estate plan fellas. Or when you die unexpectedly, all your cool toys and assets will go the relative you absolutely f'ng hate instead of who you want them to go to. Because if you don't decide for yourself officially, Arizona will. I am driving to Tucson today to...

Re: Rifle, Carbine and Long-Arms Picture Thread!

Hopefully the Omega36M will be out of jail in the next few weeks (this was a friend's Hybrid 46). Looking at buffer and spring options to quiet it down more.

Re: S&W Model 17 advice (choice of version, fair price)

Limper I've used TrueGunValue.com and "sold" data from gun broker as a guide in the past. I find the following: https://truegunvalue.com/pistol/Model-17-3/price-historical-value https://truegunvalue.com/pistol/MODEL-17-4/price-historical-value You can click on the "sold" tab and...

Re: Armalite AR10B

I have an Armalite AR-10T (the heavy barrel "Target" version). Fantastic gun - uses the M1Aish magazine. If you plan to sell it - I'd look at what sold on GunBroker - and maybe TrueGunValue.com - although what I see there looks lower than what I would have expected. https://truegunvalue.c...

Re: Leaving your weapons in your vehicle plain to be seen

As a marine going through a technical school at Ft Lee - I had an army Private tell me that she thought "we was craaaazzzyyy... cuz... ya'll always curryin' ur guuunsss..." LOL Turns out that their entire shooting experience was 10 rds of .22lr through an adapted M-16 and 1 (ONE) round of ...

Mind blown... On the other hand... it's "Army" so <shrug> what do you expect...

Re: Oops. Killed a little girl.

If a cop showed up on scene and had done this we probably would not be having this discussion would we? Again - I wasn't there and don't have the benefit of whatever evidence the prosecutor, grand jury, and defense attorneys have. That said - if a cop rolled up to the scene, rounded a corner and pu...

Re: .277 Fury

So, new cartridge case, higher pressure load, and they just re-invented the 7mm-08? Oh, sorry, we don't do them "metric" things.... Looks like it pushes its bullets nominally harder than the 7mm-08. That... and it does have a 0.472" rim instead of a 0.473" - so there is that... ...

Too little too late? Rearranging the decks chairs on the Titanic? Or a ray of hope? Probably a little of both... is it a ray of hope? Sure... it's always better to have better people in place... Is it too little too late? Well... it isn't enough for me to support them again... I'm a "lifetime ...

Wild stuff, on the ASU Tempe campus the "protestors" claimed they were getting "kidnapped" by the police as officers began arresting them. Such a wild world we live in. https://twitter.com/CitizenFreePres/status/1784735236443553797 I generally don't have much use for fraternitie...

OK - I'm going to chime in here... just because I can't leave well enough alone. * First - I have exactly zero knowledge regarding John Correia's relative competence as a martial artist... It sounds like he's probably gotten in with a school that is pretty commercial - that's too bad. On the other h...
