Re: 2022 fall draw

20B muzzleloader. I have a .45 Thompson that reaches out 300 yards with an sst sabot. Maybe this will be the year I carry the .54 Hawkins, never been fired.

But plenty of archery opportunities. Just purchased a #55 Bear recurve. Got to be in decent shape just to string it.

Re: Who is getting the Dove Hunting itch?

I will get my daughter dove hunting this year. She's been loving quail hunting any we were drawn for Whitetail. The dove hunting will make her a crack shot.

Re: Monster Mountain Lion - bring enough gun

And the beast weighed in at 209 pounds. Personally, I carry a Glock 29 in the outback. With Grizzly 200gr wrngc. More interested in good penetration on a thick bear. My neighbor years ago was a lion tracker on retainer with several NA tribes; Navajo, Ute, etc. Each time he headed out he'd likely hav...

Re: Muzzleloader Hunting

I'm still dinking with the sidelocks. Picked up a T C Hawkens .54 in great shape and unfired. It's a pretty piece. However still has the same compromising twist as the Renegade, 1:48. Add to that there aren't a huge assortment of projos made for the .54 as there are the .50. I may have to either cha...
