Re: Budget AR build
I appreciate all the feedback. I’m trolling most of the sites right now, watching for the parts I want and the ones I need

Budget AR build
Well, I got myself a lower as a birthday gift, thinking I’d grab a parts kit and slowly assemble this thing. 20 minutes later and I was done, and ready to move on. I picked a difficult time to try to do a budget build, with so much out of stock. Mostly I’m just “talking out loud” because kids make s...

I live on the edge of one of the irrigation district “farm areas” in Phoenix. They’ve had goats and such go missing when all the panic buying started a month ago

He’s saying it’s a pistol by technicality not by usefulness as a handgun I think

Re: Flash or subdued
I have a two tone pistol, but mostly run the flat black. My argument is that it probably draws less attention. Especially when I’m coming home from swing shifts

Re: Thoughts on AR pistols
My buddy bought the Ruger pistol recently, loves it. But practicality is still in question for me. My Glock is not going to be replaced, just trying to decide on the next supplement.

Thoughts on AR pistols
I’ve never really been an AR guy, but I’m starting to be swayed.
What are your thoughts on a Pistol vs a rifle in an AR platform?
The biggest thing I’ve heard is that a Pistol is cool, but impractical, but seems like it would make a practical home defense/ truck gun.

Re: How do I go about being tactical without being "tacticool"?
I think, depending on your neighborhood and such, the key to not being tactical is to dress like you belong there. Old gym shoes, and a t shirt will probably draw less attention than a pair of Merrels, 5.11 pants and an Under Armor polo. The hard part about a backpack isn’t finding a non-tactical on...

Re: Revolver vs Semi-Auto
I only own semis, but there is something super classy about a revolver. My unicorn is a colt .38, someday.

Re: What style of rifle do you favor?
I mostly shoot semi auto, but inherited Grandpa’s gallery gun style pump .22. That thing is a blast. 26” octagonal barrel, patina everywhere, thumbscrew takedown.
Makes me want a lever gun. For a little bit more oomph, but old school feel.

Sight finish
I’ve been carrying a Glock 43 with the vickers sights, and the sight is super sharp, pokes into my stomach. I want to round it off, just the rear face at the top edge.
How would you re finish the sight after doing a little melt to it?

Re: Carry gun for different occasions.
It used to be a Glock 23 or a Kahr CM9. After dominant hand surgery, I had to step away from .40, so now it’s all 9mm, size depending on attire.
