Re: Who is getting the Dove Hunting itch?

Wasn't able to go last year but planning on this year for sure. All of my go-to spots now have play pools and bike paths, looks like I'll be traveling to shoot those tasty sky rats.

Re: Elk draw

One of my boys drew a youth tag this year. I'm more excited when the kids draw than I.

Re: elk rifle & cartridge

This year my two teen boys will be using a Tikka 7mm 08 and a 270 Ruger m77 in 270 winny. Both will handle Elk nicely with good bullets and shot placement.

Re: Pay to “Learn how to hunt”

Good info above. I was fortunate to have an older brother start me out hunting at an early age. Your best bet is to start small game hunting and tag along with more experienced hunters for big game and ask lots of questions. Lots of time and energy goes into prepping for hunts, scouting trips, shoot...

I've not heard of any but sure they are happening to some degree. Guessing things will start ticking up the longer this goes on.

Re: How did you get started in reloading? How do I?

Lots of good info here. I started reloading back in the 70's and still have the single stage RCBS loader and have not changed. You can start "cheap" and then upgrade as you like. I have two digital scales and a digital micrometer that I feel are important upgrades IMO.

Good luck

Oh yeah, expect more and earlier closures than last year for rim activities. Looks like I may need to buy a gas fire pit for the whole season. Yikes

Firearm and component selling

I know there are probably a few other folks on here in the same boat I am in. Many years of adding to the collection of guns, accessories and components that now go unused. I've thought about getting a table at a gun show to reduce some of the surplus, however I probably don't have enough to fill an...

Re: Cards are getting hit

No luck for me but my two boys drew youth cow tags...I guess I am lucky, ha.
Now the list begins...new footwear (boys are 13&14) what fit 6 months ago no longer fits now. Clothes (same as above), new rifle, new scope, new binoculars...list goes on and on

I'm back

Kinda lost track of the old site and found the new one recently. Also, couldn't retrieve my old password as I changed emails.
