Glendale Show 1/5/24. One to Miss

Went to the show at Glendale Civic Center today. Might be worth $10, but definitely not the $15 they want. Quite small with a limited selection really. Prices were across the board from what I saw. If you went to one at the Martin Auto Museum recently it was much larger and better. Unless there is m...

Re: S&W 642 Alternative for CCW

+1 on going to a range and renting a couple that interest you. I would suggest looking at the Ruger LCP Max. .380 ammo variations are effective these days. And if you are getting up in years (like me) the easier to rack slide may be beneficial.

Re: Do you / would you consider CCW a Revolver?

I have three S&W revolvers (640, 638 and 66; all Nelson Ford tuned) that I have no hesitation for CCW at times. I also have a Ruger LCR. They carry more comfortably for me. A couple extra speed loaders/speed strips, or even a New York reload, and you are sufficiently armed.

Re: Concealed Carry Permit

My original CCW permit required many more hours than the current standards and included range time. I think the permit is more needed today not just for the convenience when buying firearms but also for when I travel out of state. I was disappointed when they dropped the standards needed to obtain t...

Old New Timer

Originally on AZS.com for quite awhile some years back. Took a leave from firearms in general for awhile, but easing back in to try to put together my ‘final’ collection as I am 66yo now. Guns for carry, recreation, home defense and travel. Here for a bit of research and learning now.

What Bullzaye said. Signed up and was notified a couple weeks later, and bought one.

Re: Semi-auto Handgun Picture Thread!

Springfield Armory 1911 built by Neil Keller, owner of Kustom Ballistics in Indiana. Dont know how I missed that one .. Pretty damn neat. Does it shot as good as it looks? While I have not had it out for a long while, yes it does shoot quite nicely. It sits in a beautiful Del Fatti holster when it ...

Re: How to list an ad on "backpagegun.com"?

I just went over to gunsarizona.com and all I can say is WOW! Now I have been out of the firearms world for a few years, but the asking prices are so far out of line I can't see me even approaching someone with a reasonable offer. Or am I wrong and the prices are really that high nowadays?

It's Been Awhile

I was a member on the old site a long time ago. Got out of firearms/shooting a few years back and sold off many of my guns/accessories. I'm starting to get back my interest in the firearms world. I could not find the previous AZShooting site, then saw this. Tried my old username and password, which ...
