Passed on what looked like, a NIB Model 46 on Fri. They are few and far between, and I was sorely tempted. $1,300 was the price, which was more than fair, but I just walked away.
Another one that I will regret passing on.

Re: Another fake Japanese 1911, at Parker today.
Somewhere around 75-80 seems to grind the gears a little. Low 200's in today's bucks? https://collectorsarmoury.com https://armory.net/collections/replica-guns https://replicaweaponry.com/replica-guns/ http://www.replicaguns.com/ Thanks for the heads up. Don't believe their the same ones, out of Ja...

Re: Another fake Japanese 1911, at Parker today.
LOL< you jogged the memory banks. In the early 70's, I convinced Mom to let me get a 1911A1 from what was then called, Replica Gun Corp, or perhaps Collectors Armory. Save for the plugged barrel, it was quite spooky realistic. Interesting! Didn't know any were actually exported, for commercial sale...

Re: Another fake Japanese 1911, at Parker today.
Reading 'tween the lines, I'm guessing these are intended to get you to think they are WWI, or II era collectors? Japan has very, very strict gun laws. Because of this, the chance of owning a handgun by a private citizen is nil. In the 1960's a company was set up, to cater to Japanese collectors. B...

Another fake Japanese 1911, at Parker today.
After 50+ years, figured they had all but dried up. But another showed up on a table, at Parker this morning. Geezer selling it, said he didn't know anything about it? But he had it priced, @ $400. That was what caused me to pick it up. All the local gun show hustlers are pricing their run of the mi...

Yuma Gun Show
Went their today. First time, since the Chinese Crud closed them down. Asking prices seem unreal? I know inflation is a real bear nowadays. Affecting just about everything. But I have real doubts, about what I consider common readily available guns. Being actually sold at the asking prices these guy...

Bummer. It sounds like it could have been a lot worse though. Do you have pictures of the barrel after it happened and of your extraction efforts? I have to dig up what's left of the barrel ( only 3" left), and the bushing and take pictures of them. What really got me was the amount of pressur...

Squib load, with Win. white box 40 S & W ammo.
Dummy me, was shooting out in the desert. Wasn't paying attention, and you know what happened. Luckily was shooting it in a 1911. Although the barrel and muzzle bushing were bulged and split. Was able to dremel the barrel out from the inside, without screwing up the slide. New barrel and new bushing...

Re: Lost gun---who's responsible
That's not true. FFL's complete a form that is supposed to be completed with each shipment, Form PS 1508. Technically, ONLY FFL's are allowed to ship hand guns with USPS...anyone can ship a long gun via USPS,as long as it is in-state (if you don't have an FFL, and you need to ship anything out of s...

Re: Lost gun---who's responsible
Something rotten in Denmark going on here? I shipped a handgun through FedEx couple months ago. Because the local FFL's told me, that the USPS changed their regs last year. FFL's are no longer allowed to ship handguns through Priority Mail. The are required to use FedEx or UPS. Like us low life's. G...

Buyer beware!
Local Cal-Ranch store, had a sale on 1000 round double packs of Browning 22 HP's. Couple/3 months ago. Went shooting with them, yesterday out in the forest. Found out some SOB had got into one of the 500 round bricks. And had helped himself to 100+ rounds of my ammo. With this type of unsealed cardb...

DL requirement, for selling on auctions?
Sold a .22 pistol on one of the auctions awhile back. Buyer contacted me. Telling me that his FFL won't give him the pistol. Because federal law requires that that he has to have my DL, with a photo I.D. Is this something new? From the feds? Or just a load of BS. I've been selling on the auctions si...

Overgard, Gun & Knife show.
1 day only. 7/3 @ Overgard Senior Center, 8 AM-2 PM., 2171 B St., $5.00. Didn't make it last year, because of the Chinese Crud. Year before was OK though. Lot of the locals showed up with their sock drawer goodies. That hadn't seen the light of day for 50 years. Be advised parking sucks though.

Re: Rise Armament triggers anyone???
Their good triggers, but choke on the recently made Russian "COMMERCIAL" 7.62 X 39 ammo, with the lawyer proof primers. ( "Red Army. Wolf And Tula"). Had to pull out the Rise trigger pack, and put in one of the original AR hammers with a +20% hammer spring. In my build, to get th...
