Re: Why are all safes coming with the electronic keypads?

A mechanical backup of some sort (dial lock or key lock) is always preferable to go along with the electronic lock.

Re: Where are you sourcing bullets?

I was out of the hobby for a couple years while I focused my time and money on building my business. When I came back I was rather startled to find what had happened to the cost of reloading consumables! When prices and availability stabilize a bit I'll likely buy primers by the 10k just to have on...

Re: Where are you sourcing bullets?

Just to add a couple more thoughts to this. There was a point in time during this last shortage that some of the sources I buy bullets from were out of bullets when I wanted to buy some. I always keep a good stash of them just in case. So if they are out I can go back again later to buy. My lesson i...

Re: Where are you sourcing bullets?

Xtreme Bullets makes a nice 357 plated bullet you can push up to 1,500fps. I don’t usually go much over 1,200 but their website says up to 1,500. I use a lot of their plated 9mm bullets. They are very nice quality and shoot very well. I usually use jacketed bullets for target work but for practice ...

Re: Where are you sourcing bullets?

Huh! I used to shoot a ton of Xtreme bullets but got away from them because I was worried about plating failure at magnum velocities. 1,200fps is normally about where I keep my plinking .357 loads. I'll give Sage's a look. Here is the link to their site with some info: https://www.xtremebullets.com...

Re: Aguila 22 rounds going boom

Yes I have dropped rounds into the chamber and they go right it. I polish chambers on every pistol barrel I own. Even on a clean barrel some of the rounds just dont want to go in. I shot 300 cci minimags a month ago in one session and had no problems. It is this ammo and employees at stores that se...

Re: Aguila 22 rounds going boom

____unnamed.jpg Dont usually shoot the Aguila aka as Mexican Remington but was all that was available. Many rounds from this box of 500 would not chamber and several of them did this and blew up. Have had the same problem with Remington golden bullet 22 ammo as well. Had the same problem with Armsc...

Re: Ginex Primers in stock

Just ran across this, hope it helps someone. https://capitalcartridge.com/primers/ I have dealt with this company many times over the last 2 years. Mostly buying range brass from them. Except for the fact their range brass sometimes is extremely dirty (More so than most) they have always shipped wh...

Re: Prvi Partizan Brass 7.5x55 Swiss Unprimed Brass Primer Pocket

You know you might try another brand of LRP if you have them. I remember Federal primers were a tight fit in some of my brass but CCI primers snicked right in with my hand primer without undo pressure.

Re: Prvi Partizan Brass 7.5x55 Swiss Unprimed Brass Primer Pocket

Admittedly I have not bought any Swiss PP brass in the last couple of years. My brass is pretty normal when it comes to the primer pockets. Also, I hand prime everything and I have arthritis. So tight primer pockets would be a no go for me. I just reloaded a bunch of Swiss loads for both my K31 and ...

Re: Coated bullet test and discount

I received my 1,000 9mm from Summit. I will note that their coating isn’t perfect, but they are much better than what I have been getting from DG and ACME lately. I decided to load them light as I am using them for holster practice and I was not concerned with accuracy. But I have to say these booli...

Re: Coated bullet test and discount

High Standard: There are a number of good coated bullet manufacturers. In fact one of them is a good friend and one of the reasons we did not post names of the other bullets tested. Quality and delivery problems became an issue so we looked for and found Tony at Summit. We have also tested Summit's...
