Re: Factory Ammunition Can Ruin Your Gun Or Worse

Yep. It happened to me with Blazer aluminum-cased ammo in my S&W M.625. Thankfully my friend who was shooting it at that moment was aware enough to stop firing. Bullet was lodged halfway down the 5 in. bbl. Dowel rod drove it out easily enough, no damage done. Thankfully. I avoid Blazer aluminum...

Re: Bass Pro Smash N Grab

So if you’re doing a S&G do you just walk up and S&G or do you take a number and wait in line? Just wondering what the proper etiquette is on something like this. Don’t all their guns have trigger locks? How will they ever be able to use them. Just pointless. 20 seconds with the right drill...

Re: Bass Pro Smash N Grab

The story I heard from an inside source at Bass Pro: Two men (did not hear any racial description) entered the store, one had a ball peen hammer he had just stolen from a Home Depot (or Lowes, I forget). One of them grabbed a camo jacket, where he concealed the hammer (how he walked in with a ball p...

I'd go with Stoner and Ian, although Browning obviously would be every bit as good.

Re: AMMO PRICES!!!

A buddy and I ordered this : https://supervelammunition.com/certified-select-9mm-luger-115-gr-fmj?sku=SVCS9115-5000 We're going to split it. We paid the old price, $1200, it's on sale for $1100 at the moment. With S&H + tax, our order came to $0.27 per round. At the current price...it should com...

Re: Just got my CCW, go for the P365X?

I would also suggest that give some thought to the "carry occasionally" statement. Personally I carry everyday. I would hate to have something come up and think "gee I should have been carrying today". Odds are great you'll never need to worry about that but in my mind it's the ...

Depending on the specific model, I'd feel perfectly fine with any of them. They all make great firearms.

Re: Bruce Willis mental decline - negligent discharge on set

Not just the Die Hard movies -- I thought the REDS movies were hilarious. And the one where he played the hit man mixed up with the hapless dentist (the guy who had been on Cheers). I assume you're thinking of The Whole Nine Yards, and the sequel, The Whole Ten Yards. The guy hadn't been on Cheers,...

New acquisition...HK91 Factory Desert Camo finish

I thought some of you HK fanatics might appreciate seeing this. A relatively rare (and unbelievably ugly) desert camo factory finish HK91. I don't know a ton about these...supposedly a Middle-Eastern country (Saudi Arabia?) ordered some G3s, and a few semi-auto 91s were sold on the civilian market. ...

Re: FFL’s Advice Needed: want to buy a rifle, guy lives in Vegas…

You folks are aware that a long gun may be purchased in a state other than your state of residence, so long as the purchase does not break the laws of either state, correct? I'm not saying from individual to individual, but a person can purchase from an FFL in another state. So, a person from Ohio (...

Re: Alabama joins Georgia, 20 other states in getting rid of concealed carry permits

The thread title is a bit misleading. It makes it sound as though 22 states have abolished the ability to carry concealed. A better way of stating it might have been to have said that these states eliminated the requirement of a CWP in order for its citizens to exercise their right to carry conceale...

Re: Seeking value on a 1977 Colt SP1 AR15

Yeah, I think they've definitely increased in value. I'm not *that* up to speed on current values, and conditions and such, but...I hate to break to you and your friend, but I *suspect* that he did reduce the value by changing the bolt and BCG. It may function better, but collector interest is more ...
