Re: Penlight style LED flashlight?

I've had great luck with Fenix lights. If you truly believe that you'll ever be able to see the difference between a 90 lumen light, and a 100 lumen light, you're kidding yourself. Using lumens as an indicator is a flawed yardstick, in the first place. A "floody" light will not appear as bright as a...

Re: is the .357 sig a dead round?

I love mine. From my perspective...it seems that factory .357 Sig has become more available, and less expensive. I don't think it's dead at all...no!

Re: A Day to Remember...Forever..76 years ago

I may have posted this before on here...if so, I apologize for repeating myself. My Father landed on Utah beach on D-Day, the day after his 20th birthday...which he spent on board a ship, waiting for the invasion. He was not an infantryman...he was a Motor Messenger, driving a Jeep. Anyway...I belie...

And it seems like who ever broke in was going to break-in anyways since they knew what they were doing.
So then you concede that their ad, regardless of its content, had no bearing on the break-in. Seems like that was my point, along with several others.

Re: Fast & Furious II ?

Shop could have said we have more inventory in stock instead of saying we have 1000 weapons in the store. As others have opined...it's a bit odd to suggest that the gun store helped bring this about, because they "dared" advertise that they actually had guns in their inventory. Fixating on the numb...

Re: How does reputation work?

If you click on a person's user name, then scroll to the bottom of the screen, you will see "Reputation". You can view details, or rate the user. I'm not certain if there are rules explaining the intended usage. My understanding is, if you have a positive (or negative, of course) dealing with that p...

Re: Does anyone do DA/SA anymore?

I know the world is all about plastic and strikers but .. who likes a good ol hammer fired DA/SA Semi and if you do .. what do you like? What do I like? Well...2nd & 3rd Gen S&Ws are pretty danged cool. I have a 469, a 4506 & a 4566. Also, the Beretta's are pretty nice. I only have an M9, but I've ...

Re: Bizarre Problem with an AK

It's been awhile since I've messed around (or even handled) one of my AKs, so I'm really spit-balling here. I don't recall...is it possible to insert the firing pin, and then install the retaining pin incorrectly, in such a way that the firing pin is just essentially "laying there"? (Edited to expla...

The original, or "Gen 1" MFT mags were made from pretty soft plastic and had issues. This new design is supposedly better.
Ahhh! I was not aware that this was a 2nd Gen model. In that case...nevermind!

Re: Yet another polymer mag hits the market...

I have no first hand experience with these MFT mags. However, I've seen several reviews mentioning that when left loaded long term, the feed lips become misshapen, and the rounds pop out of the mag. Worse...the feed lips *stay* misshapen, and won't hold rounds in.

Re: Smith Enterprise

I have not. But, over the years...I have heard uniformly good things about their work. Admittedly, I haven't heard anything in the last couple years, one way or the other. So...I can't say what their most recent work has been like.
