Re: The coming powder shortage
The main factor in "shortages" is forum topics exactly like this one. Remember the 22lr shortage? It happened mainly because people read on some forum that there was a shortage (there wasn't), and then they rushed out to buy as much 22lr as they could find. The next guy sees some empty she...

Re: Question for Labradar Owners
Are you talking about the phone app? Or the on-device menus?
I'm waiting for Applied Ballistics or even Garmin to come out with an integrated ballistics app.

Re: Question for Labradar Owners
I have one of those, too. It's a great case. Don't see why Garmin can't throw one of those in the box...it's $7.84.Lucafu1 wrote: ↑March 21st, 2024, 8:59 pm I bought this after reading it was the perfect size.

Re: Question for Labradar Owners
I dont think anyone buying labradars anymore, they are screwed. I upgraded from my magneto speed setup to garmin. Had to buy a cheap case for it on Amazon. Lot's of Magnetospeeds and Lab Radars in the EE section of ARFCOM. I was lucky enough to dump my Magnetospeed quickly so I could grab the Garmi...

Re: Question for Labradar Owners
I would ad, if you can wait for a bit longer, Caldwell is coming out with a radar style device similar to the Labradar, but it will calculate your BC for you. As QuietM4 says, muzzle velocity is what most of us focus on, but for us geeks who like additional data the radar style chrono gives it to u...

Re: Question for Labradar Owners
Garmin. I don’t know why anyone would ever consider a Lab Radar. Unless you are a ballistician working on a doctoral thesis, the extra data really doesn’t help you in a meaningful way. Knowing the BC with data you gathered out to 100 yards may increase your accuracy, but now by any meaningful number...

Re: Engraving ambiguity for Form1
You are absolutely legally required to engrave the new manufacturer information on the receiver (e.g. your name and location...whatever is listed in Box 3a of your approved Form 1). On my recently approved Form1s, box 3a is blank. 3b, d, e, f have my personal info. Boxes 4a, d, g have the original ...

Re: Engraving ambiguity for Form1
Ugh…. Guess I need to read some more before I start engraving. Luckily I’ve got a neighbor that can laser-engrave and mill metal so if I do need to do it I can have him knock it out for me in just a few minutes. It has to be engraved to a certain character height and depth, legally. ATF has strict ...

Re: Engraving ambiguity for Form1
I’m not sure I have an answer, but I just did my first SBR Form-1 about a week ago. I sent Silencer Shop the picture of my lower that I’ve had about ten years. They filled out the Form-1 then emailed me a few days later to certify it with ATF. Nothing was added. Just my branded and serialized lower...

Re: Engraving ambiguity for Form1
It's not ambiguous at all. ATF Form 1 is titled 'Application to Make and Register a Firearm'. YOU are the manufacturer of the new NFA item, and as such are legally required to engrave your manufacturing information on the firearm receiver. It's pretty simple. Your name (or the legal entity that regi...

So....I got bored, and this happened.
I had a CZ 452 Scout sitting around...and I heard eForms are going pretty quick now. eForm 1 took 22 days. Before; https://i.imgur.com/Y4PZC6r.jpg After; https://i.imgur.com/0GagQSO.jpg 8.5" barrel, threaded 1/2x28. Tech Sight rear sight, Williams Shorty front sight, epoxied in place. Glades Ar...

Re: Custom AR Grips
Would likely sell This type of grip idea has been tried several times over the past decade...I can recall at least 4 different booths at SHOT over the years that tried exactly this type of product idea. Mainly, using the same type of polymer tech that Decibullz ear plugs use...heat in hot water and...
