My rambling partly meant to vent about guys that never learned how to talk, but are so unaware of that that they boldly put together a video. I found a lot of that on car repair tutorials especially.
Products of U.S. public schooling IMO.

Disappointed with Gun Digest disassembly manual, etc
Re Ruger Blackhawk 357 that i've owned for 8 yrs but never fired. Got it new in a warranty replacement from Ruger, but never took it out to shoot till a few days ago when I was surprised that it wouldn't cock nor even move into the secondary position. Not one who forces things, I opted to disassembl...

Thanks for reviving this...Tillman was more than a man among men, a very rare person I believe.
I wish I could have had the honor to have met him.

Yes, sometimes s*** does happen...
While my spouse was undergoing hand therapy, she conversed with another patient who had one arm heavily bandaged from elbow down. She said he was articulate, well dressed, and maybe early 40's. He confessed to having shot himself, with the bullet entering his palm and exiting the forearm resulting i...

Should I limit my drill press's versatility ?
My 10in Delta benchtop DP is one of the gratifying and useful implements in the shop, even though I have an 8in VS grinder, I have used it to grind, sand, and rasp. But a guy recently cautioned that any other operations involving lateral forces will impact the accuracy of the drill when used for pre...

Have you ever hosted a table at a gun show ?...
...if so, maybe you've wondered 'what happened to that box of 38 Super I had over by the corner of my table ?..', or , 'what happened to that 45/70 Lee Loader I was just showin' a guy?.. So if you're wondering why so many displays are under glass, there's a reason. At the recent Prescott Valley show...

Re: What's wrong with grip safeties ?
Clyde, I would consider that for my XD SC 9. Did the process result in the actual removal of the grip toggle. or , did you remove interior material leaving that grip safety panel intact?

Re: What's wrong with grip safeties ?
These kinds of logical explanations are appreciated; I especially can relate to the concept of a student using a grip-safety to test grip technique.

What's wrong with grip safeties ?
Had em on Springfield XD's, 1911's, with no downsides that I could determine, so why aren't they more common ?

You might not need a 10mm for bear
The recent fatal bear attack has probably boosted sales of 10mm autos here, but if you are considering getting one ( 'oh no! Another gun, another caliber to load!'..), you may not really need one if you own a 357 mag...if bears are the reason, that is. Buffalo Bore's Heavy 357 magnum Outdoorsman lis...

Re: Bear and cougar shootings
Several years ago I shot a javelina that bit me. The Game and Fish picked it up and had it checked for rabies. A couple months later they left me a message with the results. The test came back negative , of course I already had that one figured out by then. Would be interested to hear from you how ...

Bear and cougar shootings
What does Fish and Game do with a large predator such as a 300 lb black bear when it's been killed in a defensive act ? Is it held as evidence when a fatality is involved ?.. Of course there's no case pending involving any charges ( but in California, there might be !) but what if the bear has actua...

Fatal bear attack in Prescott
Early reports are of a 66 yr old man dead after a black bear attacked him while he sat in a chair outside of the cabin he was building. One account says neighbors attempted to scare off the bear during the attack; another version is that a neighbor witnessed the bear eating the man and then shot and...

Re: Any viable alternatives to Gunbroker ?
Doc: my current offering is a 94 Krag sporter. It'll be the third go-around for this rifle in a year. The first winner about 8 mths ago refused to read or comply with my clearly stated terms. 2nd guy, whom I suspect to be a shill for the former guy, waited to the end to bid, and ultimately didn't co...
