Re: S&W M&P 2.0 METAL 9mm
One thing I can say, when I was shooting this past weekend. It was about 38 degrees and the gun was extremely cold!

Re: S&W M&P 2.0 METAL 9mm
John, I went M&P after feeling the gun mcso issued him. I resisted all those years and stuck with Glock till then. So, I was gonna get a 10mm to go with all the other M&Ps I now have, is the metal enough of a difference in felt recoil to get a 9mm metal instead? They are so ergonomic that i...

Re: STOP TRAINING
I wouldn't stop training, but rather I would vet the instructors I am looking at to see if their backgrounds & credentials would hold up in legal matters. I see it this way, If the instructor has NEVER been in any type use of force situation(s) or court as an expert witness, I would even go as f...

S&W M&P 2.0 METAL 9mm
I got one of the NEW S&W M&P 2.0 METAL 9mm handguns when they hit the valley. I have to say I like the gun really well. Has a good feel to it, I did notice less felt recoil. I got mine from Estrella Ordnance in Goodyear (Paul). I have now put 2,200 rounds through it and as it should, going s...

Re: Primary Arms ACSS recticle
I like this ACSS reticle. I got mine from Primary Arms for $255 (Holosun 507c). In September, I took a 20 hour, 2 day red dot class and it was great to use the ACSS on the new M&P 2.0 Metal. We did a 1000 rounds in 2 days, one of the days was a night shoot. Right now, I wouldn't use anything but...

Re: Thinking about becoming a NRA pistol instructor
Like the NRA or don't (and these days I don't) their instructor certifications seem to be the ones accepted for things like being a range master at a private range at Ben Avery, or for opening the door to doing some types of instruction. I'll be interested in hearing what you find in terms of class...

Re: CETSUSA Training
With those parameters I would personally point to any of the classes at either shooters world, Scottsdale gun club, or John Hansen if he is still teaching classes. After that I have been very happy with GoRuck FAD events (run by Army SF) these are run on a private range on the grounds of skydive ph...

Re: CCW @ work: Some painful introspective
I can't feel sorry for him.... I work in a place that has a NO GUN / cell phone policy and searches can be done upon entry of the facility, we ALL know it and I actually have employees sign a form that they know what is or is not allowed. Unfortunately, I have had to enforce it too. He knew what he ...

Re: Expired CCw renewel or ...
She still has the permit. Send the actual permit or a copy? Will they then tell her to take the class or should she take it first. Sorry for the stupid questions. Oh and the class is only 4 hours now? Send the actual permit. No class required. I did it when my permit expired and I waited too long t...

CCW wait times.....
As an FYI, I have been waiting almost 4 months for my renewal (DPS accepted 4/14, I called 8/13). The office assistant looked my application up while I was on the phone and approved it right there and stated it would be mailed out Monday/Tuesday next week.
