The Staccato CS I just picked up comes reasonably close, IMO (and you get 16+1).

Re: Rocksett Question

Unless you are mounting a suppressor adapter that you have no intention of taking off for the rest of time, I'd avoid using Rocksett again. You were lucky to get it off; Rocksett is designed to be hot water soluble, not heat. I have encountered properly Rocksett'd muzzle devices that had to be mach...

Especially with a 3x magnifier behind a red dot (as per the officer's set-up in the video).

Re: Cowitness Sight Question

I picked up a set of Ameriglo sights that are slightly taller than stock but shorter than suppressor height sights. The back sight is solid black and the front is green so its visually distinct from the red of the RDS. This is a clip from a picture on a Walther forum showing what they "should&...

Re: SPR/Competition type barrel preference

Yep, WOA is hard to beat for the money. I'd probably grab a matching/head-spaced bolt from them as well.

Or, if you want to level up a notch, I'd look at a Krieger SPR from CLE.

Re: Cowitness Sight Question

what is the conventional wisdom regarding night sights vs standard fo co-witness with the RDS. With an RDS, your irons are "back-up" only. As such, you really don't want them being prominent and/or distracting. So when running a dot, it's usually best to stick with basic blacked-out irons...

Re: DDLES still in business?

AZ LLC's are generally perpetual, so that's not necessarily an indicator either way unless it has been updated post-2015 or so. True. Checked the listed address and he hasn't lived there for quite a while. I wasn't even aware the guy moved to WI. Looks like he did have an active LLC there under &qu...

Re: DDLES still in business?

Right, but that was due to the receivers they made. I'm wondering if DDLES is still in business selling misc parts. It appears to be the case from what I can tell, but I was hoping that someone in Tucson (I think they are based there) might know more. Just checked and their (Tucson) LLC still activ...

Re: MOA vs MIL

For target shooting anything besides steel plates I prefer the MOA system simply because its a finer adjustment. 1/4 MOA is roughly 1/4" at 100 yards one MIL is roughly 1/3" of an inch at 100. Just to clarify: 1 MIL = 3.6" @ 100Y. However, you are not going to find any scopes with 1 ...

Re: MOA vs MIL

My personal opinion is that if you are new to scopes and have little to no experience, go with MRAD - it's easier to learn. Inexperienced people tend to think of MOA as linear measurements when it should be thought of as angular for both MOA and MRAD. The base-10 MRAD is easier to understand from n...

Re: handgun RDS reflections

Do you ever have issues going back & forth between sight-focused iron sight shooting & RDS? I did. Once you get used to dots, you naturally target-focus, with both eyes open. Switching to irons, I would revert back to dominant-eye only, and often get in the cycle of changing focus from targ...

Re: handgun RDS reflections

One thing I've noticed is that I sometimes see a reflection of the dot that confuses me for the actual dot, which usually goes something like: Draw acquire sight & pick up the reflected dot acquire target in sight picture shoot/miss say "what the hell?" wiggle sight around and realize...
