Re: Having to sift through a dead man's gun stuff

Y'all have reminded me that I really need to catalog my inventory -- not only of my firearms, but also my tools and vehicles. If something were to happen to me my wife would be at a loss for valuation.

Re: Question for Labradar Owners

The Garmin Xero seems super attractive but that price point is stout. That being said, it might be worth a shot (ha). My Chrony works great but a smaller solution sounds sexy.

A 2-week turnaround is honestly quite a lot faster than I would have expected.

Re: LaPierre found guilty (or "liable" actually)

Do you have any faith in the NRA as a body going forward? I can't say that I do. There other firearms rights groups that not only do decent work, but don't have the entrenched corruption and cronyism that has plagued the NRA for decades. Even if they replaced the current board I don't think the NRA ...

It is exactly as the Founding Fathers intended. I only hope the guy was wearing a tricorn hat when the blue showed up.

Re: FBI: the 9mm is as good as a .45?

Yes, and the 1911 is still the goodest of handguns. How many times do we have to hear some old timer sing the laurels of .45 ACP? The reality is, we should all be using 10mm. The reality is that there are several "superior" (which is really a qualitative judgment) rounds than .45. Don't g...

Re: Sportsman's Warehouse

I'd suggest that in addition to the shift towards shopping online, decreasing helpfulness and service contributes to the decline of places like SW. The last 3 (maybe 4) times I've been in there I've been interested in spending several hundred dollars on firearms. Every single time I've walked out wi...

Re: Will your bank or credit union allow you to use their debit/credit card to buy guns or ammo?

Just going to throw this out here for the worrywarts. It is 100% illegal to buy marijuana with credit/debit in AZ. And despite that, weed shops have gotten around that by simply putting ATMs in their lobbies or using "virtual atms" where you run your card at a terminal there and they just...

Re: Wayne LaPierre Stepping Down

The NRA has not acted in our favor in years and years. WLP was very clearly the face of the corruption and political pandering.

I'm not sad to see him gone.

Re: 6.5 grendel

I've been contemplating this round for a while; I have a couple spare populated lowers. Thing is, I don't like having a million different magazines. I already have one AR (and ASC magazines) for 7.62x39. I can't find anything that confirms definitively whether 7.62x39 and 6.5 Grendel will feed out ...

Re: Private sales getting ripped on the rise?

This is a good reason to deal with AZS members in good standing. Chances of something shifty happening are much lower.

Besides AZS though, where do people arrange for firearms sales these days? Just Armslist?

Re: AR-15's are boring

I'm actually coming around to enjoy ARs more these days. It's nice to work with a platform that has so much built-in versatility. I have other rifles in the safe (including an X95), of course, but there's something to be said about the modularity of an AR platform and the potential that unlocks.
