"I sold it, they pinky promised they weren't a felon & had an AZ DL." is no less effective then a bill of sale with joe blow written on it unless you had done it at a notary with more pii then most would give. At that point just trade it in at the gun store, maybe private sale just aint for you.

The only thing worse than a bill of sale collector , is someone dumb enough to hand a stranger all that information.
