Blown up and ruined guns thread

Are you having problems with a rifle or handgun? Having problems with a magazine? This is the place to post for help or to help others. If you fixed that nagging problem with your AR-15, this is the place to post how you did it.

Another that came across my bench...

When you get a new Dremel kit for Christmas and go for that "crisp" trigger pull on your Lever gun, then wonder why the hammer won't stay back when you work the action...

I found a replacement hammer and sear for it and they are currently on the way, now just need to find an affordable replacement bolt.

My policy is that just because a little snubbie chambered in .357mag is not sufficient reason to subject it to full house loads. Mid-range is max for me.

SURPLUS AMMO SAFETY ALERT!!!!

This carcass that was formerly a beautiful M1 Garand was destroyed by Turkish surplus .30-06 ammo. Lots of this Turkish ammo has been around for a few years, and it has been reported to be rather inconsistent and crap. Modern turkish quality control on ammo might be good,...but back in the 50s and 60s and 70s,...apparently not.

SMG, the tale of that MC28 would be a worthwhile read.

Yes, I'd love to get the whole story, but all I have access to are the pics.

I have no info on what happened here, just the picture. But since this appears to be a .50AE Desert Eagle,...that must have been a real attention-getter when that let go.
