Re: Commiefornia letting folks walk after getting popped for CCW
Wonder if their restrictions on certain guns will hold up.

Re: Aguila 22 rounds going boom
Interesting. I have quit buying Remington, Federal, and Winchester .22s. Mostly because of failures to fire. Some Winchesters have separated at the base. CCIs and Aguilas have performed well for me.

That article was written with a definite liberal bias, IMO.

Re: What optic are you using for breakdown 10-22?
I agree with you. However, with my aging eyes I figured the red dot was workable. A scope will not fit in the case with the 1022, so I went with the red dot. I don't expect to use it at much more than 50 feet, anyway. I found that turning down the intensity helped. Another session at the range will ...

Re: What optic are you using for breakdown 10-22?
Thanks. Still learning about it. Rotated the locking ring until I couldn't insert the barrel, then backed it off until I could. Will try it out next time I get to the range. I expect nothing will help the group size, tho. That is probably due mostly to the shooter, anyway. I have no problem with a s...

Re: What optic are you using for breakdown 10-22?
Took mine out this morning. Adjusted the sight, then removed the barrel and reattached it and tried 10 more shots. The center of the group moved about 1" at 50 feet. Removed the barrel and reattached it 3 or 4 more times. The groups were not consistent. The last group was back to the original s...

Re: What optic are you using for breakdown 10-22?
After I ordered a picatinny rail for mine, I discovered Ruger included one in the package.
I put a red dot sight on it:
edit--Tried to include a link, but that did not work.
Haven't decided that the barrel attachment is repeatable enough for accurate use yet.

The Air Venturi Century looks very interesting to me. However, the reviews of one of the others by the same manufacturer make me wonder about reliability.

Re: Project Appleseed
I will second the Aguila and CCI recommendations. Those two are, in my experience, the most reliable you can find (of the affordable kind--I haven't tried the expensive stuff) .

Just got an email that said my contributions are between $12 and $13, and the total to AZCDL is over $12,000.

Re: Parents of Michigan shooter charged
OTOH, Michigan does have laws on the books about this sort of thing, as do around 40 states. https://www.grabellaw.com/section-750-145-michigan-legislature.html Section 750.145 - Michigan Legislature 750.145 Minor; contributing to neglect or delinquency In the state of Michigan, contributing to neg...

Re: 1022 question
Thanks. Locked the bolt back and it worked. Locking it back is easier than holding it partially open and trying to dismantle it, at least for us manually challenged.

1022 question
I took my 1022 breakdown to the range this morning for the second time. When it came time to leave, I could not get it to come apart. Moved the pin forward and the barrel assembly would move a few degrees and would go no further. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? TIA.

I wonder how accurate that is. There were some questions which I doubt many gun owners would answer correctly.
