Re: Opinion on CZ-527 Tactical?
I've had mine for just over a year. I would say if you're stacking 7.62x39 with other guns (AK-47/SKS/VZ58), this is a great rifle to get into. I wouldn't say the steel cased stuff is tack driving ammo, but this rifle does bring out the best in that ammo. If you hand-load, this rifle is a decent hu...

Re: $800 million settlement from MGM Resorts in Las Vegas shooting
This is a calculated way to insure that further lawsuits will not be coming against MGM. I’m sure they saw what the ongoing costs were going to be for their insurance polices if they did not resolve this quickly.

Re: Polymer fill in
JB Weld might work okay for filling in the hole. I’m assuming the existing polymer is just as hard as dried JB Weld. You would have to sand it and the paint the patched area to match the stock color.

Wow, this seems like a very clear cut case of self defense. It just seems like the book was thrown at him while ignoring the context of what was happening to him.

Hopefully they will be able gradually ramp up production in a manner that maintains safety and quality standards.

Re: Biden’s proposed tax on guns and mags calculator!
I’m very interested to see if this is discussed further during the presidential debates between Biden and Trump. It will be very interesting to see Biden’s response to the economic impact of trying to levy multiple $200 tax stamps to many firearms and magazines.

Re: Talk about price gouging
I remember talking with an FFL and was very surprised to learn some of his customers were paying him $1,200 for 1,000 rounds of 9mm. The FFL told me that his biggest problem was that he was having extreme difficultly restocking ammunition and new firearms from his distributors.

I agree, it will be very interesting to see what Ruger will do with Marlin now that it is going to be part of their business. I am also interested to see what Franklin Armory does with the Bushmaster assets it purchased.

Recommend SKS Gunsmith for Threaded Receiver Barrel Swap
I have a few SKS rifles I am trying to salvage. The receivers are okay, minor pitting below the wood, but there is a lot of erosion inside the barrel between were where the neck of the cartridge ends and the rifling begins. I still need to test fire the rifle (headspace is perfect) but I am just try...

I thought that FN was already contract to provide the SAW to the US Army. I remember talking to guys in 06-07 that had just left the Army and had told me that they had carried and used the SAW as their assigned weapon.

Re: Hero dad takes bullet shielding his kids -loses jobs due to injury
It seems a little odd to me that he would lose both of his jobs immediately due to his injury. There has to be something else that is missing from this story that could add additional context to then make sense why he lost both of his jobs.

Re: Hodgdon is Selling Direct to the Public Now
It kind of makes that Hodgdon is selling directly to the public now. I’m a little surprised they have not been doing this for several years now, especially since everyone is purchasing many more things online and are shopping in fewer brick and mortar stores. Just look at how the malls and some of t...

Re: Biden’s proposed tax on guns and mags calculator!
Didn’t the ATF issue free NFA tax stamps to the existing owners of firearms that were reclassified as destructive devices? I seem to remember this happening to the USAS-12 or the Cobray Streetsweeper. I don’t see this tax going into effect in the method it is currently being proposed since it would ...

I remember having the same difficulties assembling my Ruger MK 1 for the first few times. Below is a link to a Ruger Assembly manual I found online. You might not be catching the hammer when you reassembled it.

Re: Springfield Armory Rocks!!!!!
Wow, I’m really surprised and impressed that Springfield Armory honored the RMA even though the gunshop caused the charging handle to be broken. I am used to other firearm warranties not covering damage caused by others.
